Ran all the amp wiring this morning... Surprisingly quite easy in my Mazda!

Re: What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
Bought 16w black mica paint at Crappytire. It's about time I found that paint. Been dying to paint the new badge less grill I got and do some touch ups on the trunk lid I got before installing it

Sure? lol
It's in now...did a couple map revisions already just to get a baseline, car is hitting it's previous load targets super easily and I've already seen more flow with 10-15% less WGDC towards redline. Me thinks I'm going to make some power once I dial this in.

Re: What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
Installed the 3pc Street Unit motor mount kit, washed the engine bay while 1/2 the parts were off, installed grounding kit, painted a few under hood items, and finally put in my James Barone Short Shift Kit. Much to my amazement, the motor mounts have made the car so much tighter in take off, throttle response, and drivetrain reaction. Downside...the gear whine is annoying....time to add more amps to drown it out:headbang

Oh happy day. My shocks and struts arrived. Now I will pair with my Cobb springs for a glorious ride. Will be pulling out the 2 month old sport lines http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/09/zy7a7y5y.jpg

Re: What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
Man, my bilstein 5100's took 3 months to show up. Apparently there was a design update or something. Jealous you got yours so fast.
Anyways, I bought a oribital buffer, and did a 2 stage polish and wax yesterday. Paint's looking near brand new again!

Re: What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
Got rear ended. Luckily no real damage that I can see, scraped the plastidip and probably the paint underneath. Bumper could use a repaint anyway. Video to follow.

Edit: last night I turned down the impact sensitivity on my dashcam one notch. Apparently now it doesn't even detect rear end impacts, when before it would go off for small potholes. Anyway, like I said there isn't much damage thank goodness.

I krowned my truck. Now it's dripping away on my driveway.

Re: What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
Got the dual channel dash cam installed. Learned that even on the second lowest setting, stiff suspension and super stretched tires will trigger the shock recording setting.

I just turned that off, lowest setting still set it off too.

Negative. Just got rear-ended (albiet with no real damage). Still enough to give me a headache. Dashcam didn't record it, and by the time I drove home, the "normal" driving recordings had written over that time period.
Leave it 1 setting above the minimum and it will just over-write events as it fills up that portion of the memory.

Its set default to record 90% parking, and 10% driving. you can change that % to whatever to you want, or get a Micro SD with more memory. If i were in a crash, i would pop out the SD to make sure that nothing is overwritten.

Yeah I changed those settings last night too. Live and learn. Which is funny because this was my first ever accident and it happened within a month of getting the camera, which in itself was inspired by Dave getting his car written off.

Not sure what one you have but the zalman from the group buy will store in another folder if you hit the REC button; 30 secs before and after button press.
Of course that requires you to remember to hit it which you might not think about in an event. Doesn't help during parking lot events either of course.

Yeah, after I got hit I thought "no need to press the button, the 'event' recorder should have got it". :bang
