When you gotta spend 4 hours editing a picture of your bucket of a car to get it looking half decent :loki ..lol but I like the way this one came out:

Okay okay maybe 4 hours is a stretch, but you get what I mean :P
lol I know I know :( I just get bitter about it from time to time lol specially cause I got screwed over...not so much something that was directly my fault or anything. But such is life. That's why we got post-editing haha
Hmmm maybe it's time you dip your car Jaimie :P
I hear ya man. That would piss me right off too. That's a bullshit way for that to go down but as you said it is what it is. And haha I got an iPhone that does it for me. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...823e9c041c.jpg
It does a decent job with photo editing to my liking.
You can only wish. But no if I do anything I'll wrap it. I prefer the look of wrap to dip. And seeing as how my roof is wrapped I want to look at doing the same to other parts of the car.
One of the cruelest things we can encounter as Mazda owners: watching this happen and not being able to do a damn thing :( lol

It's crazy to see the exponential growth of this rust in just the past couple months. Even in Spring it wasn't nearly this bad.
*sigh* just another splendid hidden side-effect of Plastidip. People joke about it helping with rust protection, but its quite the opposite. Traps the moisture in and causes even more harm.
And yes, white car is white. I get it.
Dude your car is about 500g lighter than when you bought it #rustislighterthancarbonfiber
Only one thing to do now... cut all that shit out and go widebody!

SkyActiv fuel economy, here I come!
Ha, I wish. I really do lol. I told myself last year if the rust got bad then I'd have a great excuse to do flares. But at this point, I'm just so done with this damn car lol
Gotta just drive it till it fully decomposes itself.. :(
Its all good, the car is old, its a machine that is used to get from one place to another.
Mine is hitting that point of looking like a beat up old beauty queen.
That's exactly it. It's just hard to convince myself of that after the amount of time and money you invest in trying to make it something more. And then seeing it all disappear. But in the end, you're absolutely right.
It may look beat up, but still a beauty queen deep down inside! #AmIRight

Aged rice with chicken. Everything is better with chicken, isn't that right @Thrizzl3
Remove dip, self fix rust, re dip?
By self fix I mean go through the necessary motions as best you can. Should buy you a bit. I fixed rust on the fenders of my 04 pretty early on in ownership and never had to fuss with it again.
cover in gasoline, light on fire
Allow it to be orange at least once

"Got rust"
"Nope" ;).

no rust here either :P
The first two steps are something I wouldn't mind tackling. The third, not so much. I'd have to do the whole car (can't match the color if I did just one panel). And that's not something I wanna go through again. I'm done with these dip issues.
I thought you had yours done by a shop though? I definitely wouldn't be looking to spend that kind of money, and would just be doing it myself. I never saw yours before you fixed the rust, but it looked pretty good in the post-fix stages.
I'll see how bad it is after winter I guess. I may just have to do the first two steps you mentioned, and then go into (the first??) Harlequin Mazda mode.
:(
I swear somehow this thread now has a picture of your car for every picture of my car I post
Get that stockness outta my thread
+1
My quarters were done by a shop. My fenders were done by me.
