Some of my friends consider me a grandma driver.
100% city driving and I am lucky to hit 350 km a tank since I've bought her.
Used of course, 2004 2.3 l hatchback with 93 000 km... Thought there was something wrong with my car but apparently it's not that uncommon.
If gas weren't cheaper now than ever I'd actually be p/o'd about it.
:flaming
in 100% city driving i only get 410-450kms a tank..
Wow....100% city here I hit 500-550 all the time.
100% City and I can never get close to 500... I can barely pass 400 as it is... mind you... when my friend drives it, he isn't as lightfooted as I am considering he drives a Neon with bad throttle response at home and he's so used to it he guns it with the 3...
No snow tires and i kept getting stuck plus i warm up my car in t morning and night when i am done work...
We have had a alot of snow the last few days...its the first time i have got that kind of km out of a tank..lol
And i put 40L of gas...and the tank is 52L i think so it was almost empty..
Man, the tank is 55L, and if he's filling 40L that leaves ~27% of the gas unused.
Yeah but that's not going to affect his mileage. Check my numbers...I often fill at that too and my mileage is fine (now that's the empirical evidence) what you need to do is just calculate the km's driven to the litres put in the tank (Litres put in tank on fill*100/KM Driven=L/100KM).
Yeah, I know it won't effect your L/100km figure. But apparently 27% counts as not much. :loco
Also,
His next post,Quote:

So your getting 11.8l/100km that's not too too bad for the winter months, ....well okay it's poor but if you have no snowtires!! (if I read you correct), ...the lack of traction will definately eat thru alot more fuel and probably the culprit.
And Aristides running the car more then a minute, minute and a half is a waste of fuel when warming up.I have to start the vehicle cold twice daily also! I let her run for the time mentioned then drive off at a slow pace for a couple of clicks, ...this is a far better method which allows all the vehicle mechanics to warm up together and also warms the engine much quicker....just a tip. :)

You mean the post I already quoted? :loco
I didn't say you made a big deal of it, I'm saying you're making it sound worse than it really is. And lets face it, "only" 337km is shitty. But you made it sound you did that bad on an entire tank. Not on only 3/4s of one. While still shitty, going 337km on 40L is a lot better than going 337km on 50 or 52L.
Thanks for the insult, not needed IMO. :AH
I get about 680km in summer.. I dont know about winter.. I havent checked. :)
