Oh, just to be clear, this is the factory one, I just took it off another seat, I wasn't paying 300 for a new one from the dealer :P To put something in like this isn't too hard, I just don't like the hog ring retainers that they used for the seats in the Mazda.

I'm thinking about doing this to my rear taillights but in red so if I decide I don't like it i can just peel it right off!

how are you going to wire it? does it plug into the factory harness? and if so I assume you are going to need to install an on / off switch now?

Yeah. They plug right in. I took it off another Mazda 3 seat. I already have heated seats, the element in the driver seat stopped working. So I'm just replacing the existing one. I cut the wire off the heater to make my power memory seat work in my Skyactiv, so I just have to solder the connector back onto the element and plug it in. Everything will be as it was from the factory in the seat once I plug it all back in. (Except that my car just had base seats with heaters from factory, and I have speed 3 seats in it now)
It's a factory heater from another Mazda 3 GT seat.

Let me know how big of a PITA it is to replace the element. The bottom portion of my passenger seat doesn't work - girlfriend complains all the time.
Atleast it's not the driver seat!! :thumbsup

Re: What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
All the Rav4 but...
Today:
o2 sensor - with the help of Bubba
Fixed parking brake
Cleaned battery terminals
Yesterday:
Brake service
Oil Change
Attempted to fix a clunk in the front end by re-lubing intermediate steering shaft, but no luck.
Vacuumed out some of the salt from the winter.

Re: What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
Oil change, on my beater and truck.
Cleaned my drop in k&n air filter for the first time. Took 4 sprays and rinses to get all the dirt off. Hadn't cleaned it since I bought the car may2013 :S
Pretty sure I was starving the engine of air.

You can use crap paint, but if you prep really well, it can look great.
You need to sand and wipe the surfaces to get all the contaminants off or else it will bubble every time. The more time you spend prepping, the better it will look.

Well I didn't want to do any sanding incase I decide to remove it but I did wipe all parts down and it's only bubbling on the handles everything else is fine.
And yes I prefer plasti dip but the place I went the only white they had was dupli color.

Re: What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
1. I fixed the rattle in my rear wheel.. turned out to be the brake pad. Y'know those little springs that hold the inside pad in place... well somewhere down the line, mine disappeared. Having always driven with my stereo on, I have no idea how long the pad was rattling around loosely. Luckily I had my OEM pads still. I took the spring off the OEM pad and it fit/worked like a charm.
2. Replaced rear windshield wiper... I'm pissed, because the old one left scratches on the window. Had to wait for another day to get Mazda to look at it for coverage, because I only had a few minutes to spare when I picked up the wiper on Saturday.
3. I cleaned out the interior... It's been too cold to do it since November... so there were a few surprises. I didn't bother detailing. Probably going to do that when I change to summer tires in 2 weeks.
4. Removed my custom fiberglass enclosure to take a few measurements... This took an incredible amount of effort. I managed to somehow strip a bolt holding one of the folding rear seats in place *GAHH!*
5. Installed LED tail lights. Woo!!
6. Started painting some headlight components in an attempt to create something unique (It's a spare headlight... taking my time with this one, figuring out what I want the final outcome to look like. (I will post when it's done to get opinions)).
