First tank of gas on my brand new car, i got 9.05l/100km
I'm getting 525km average per tank, my amazement is when I am doing a big highway drive. At 120km/h it takes me 7.6L per 100km and at 105 it takes me 6.3L per 100....so I have to decide what is more important to me, a few bucks in gas or the time saved by going 15 km/h faster.
So I just had my first fill up since I got my 2010 Sport GS AT and I got 13.3 L/100km! Ouch! I wasn't driving it very hard either. This was about 99% city but still a long was away from the rated 9.2L/100 km.
Is this going to improve?
@ivorm Yeah... the fuel economy will definitely get better, I'm really surprised w/ my 2010 GS AT at what I've been able to average. I use my car to commute to work and back during AM and PM rush, and my last fill up I got like 8.7 L/100 doing 80/20 highway/city driving (but as I said during stop and go rush hour).
Best I've gotten in the past month I've had this car was 7.3 L/100km doing practically all highway driving, but with little regard trying to conserve since it's so fun to drive!!
2.0L 5 Speed auto.
2nd tank of gas is 8.5L/100km. 10% open highway at 110-120km/h. 90% city and rush hour traffic on 401/DVP. So far, not too bad.
Last weekend, I managed to get 6.9L/100km driving at 110~km/h on the 401... excellent considering that the thing is rated at 6.7L/100km on the highway.
Lowest I have gotten is currently 10.2L/100KM's Kind of a letdown and I have a CAI which is supposed to help.
hey everyone. New to the site.
I bought a 2010 m3 sport 2.5. Im roughly getting 550km a tank in my daily commute from whitby to roughly 400/finch area every day.
cruise control is an absolute godsend.
i did own a 2001 protege lx 2.0. and quite frankly, it was quite horrible on gas. I was lucky to ever see 500km per tank in that car on the same commute.
either way, im really happy with the fuel economy. Once i hit stop n go traffic, yea that mileage goes right out the window, back down to highway protege mileage ratings.
LOL Im doing realy hard :) M3 2010 2.5 sport 17L/100km its ok :) Im pumping my wifes GLK 350 20L/ 100 km good job ROFL
^That is BRUTAL!
i got around 11L/100km for the last tank...............
No its funny like funny rides :)
Just got 7.96L/100km this weekend, about 70% highway driving.
Stood for 2 hours at the Canada/US border this weekend. This bumped up my average by a bit - Averaging 6.6 as of now. About 85% highway at 112km/h. 2.0 5sp stick.
Average about 9.6 to 10L/100km per tank
Piss poor fuel economy.
535km to 40.79L
not bad about 2/5 highway 3/5 city.
Just filled up - 6.2L/100Km! This drops the average a bit :) I told you guys removing all that plastic under the hood helps :)
2009 2.0L auto 1 year old
city driving winter 11L/100km
city driving summer 10L/100km
highway driving 8-9L/100km
I will be lucky to get pass 500km before the light turns on
Not happy with the fuel econ but what can you do? I already took out all the unnecessary weight including the spare tire from the car
How many KM on the car? %city to %highway normal drive? I noticed a huge difference between last year and this year for the mileage on my car. Been getting better the more I drive. Example, since I started tracking the info in Oct. 2008, I avg'd about 9.04 in Oct. Nov. Dec. of that year. Oct. Nov. Dec. 2009 I got 8.31, 8.16 and 8.71 in that order. For work I'm about 70% highway to 30% city. By Oct 2008 I was ~15,000KM in. By Oct 2009 I was about 48,000 KM in. Also depends on driving style. Another person I know has a 2008 and gets 12 or more L/100KM regardless as they do mostly city driving and rarely highway. That screws around with their mileage pretty bad.
I just got 7.2L/100km this weekend :) 50-50 city/hwy. Auto 2.0L 2010 3.
Just got 7.746L/100km using Shell 87. 60% city, 40% highway
7.7L/100Km 60/40
i get around 9.5L / 100km on manual GT
with 40% highway and 60% city.
I remember getting a bit less than 8L / 100km on the hwy
