If you're up for a small drive, and aren't in a hurry, @SomeGuy usually hosts a few install days through the summer. Has a very well equipped garage full of all the tools you'll need, and provides a lot of guidance as well. As long as you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty!
Whatcha lowering on?
Edit: sorry Ryan, I'm just going under the assumption you are going to host them again lol

Re: Tri-City Area (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge or Guelph)

Definitely don't mind getting my hands dirty or cut up. And not in a rush either. So I could wait til something goes on and I'll make the drive. I'll be dropping the Mazda on Gen 1 eibach prokits

Re: Tri-City Area (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge or Guelph)
anyone know how to properly set up coilovers? put mine in this weekend and its bouncy as **** in the rear, ive tried changing the dampening a little bit. anything else i could try?
-
Re: Tri-City Area (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge or Guelph)
@DLYDRVN how did you get your coils to not be so bouncy? Lol. I think we have the same set. Isc n1
-
Re: Tri-City Area (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge or Guelph)
Just make the springs shorter right? Did a coil install on my buddy's EF and we had to,figure it all,out
-
Re: Tri-City Area (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge or Guelph)
Yea... Preload is key. If you ****ed up your preload adjustments you'll be bouncy.
That said, the ISC's are pretty stiff even on soft.. so you're gonna ride every wave in the road.
-
Re: Tri-City Area (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge or Guelph)
I havnt touched the pre loads yet. Ill play around with them tomorrow. Raise em up .5"
-
Re: Tri-City Area (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge or Guelph)
ISC has a spec printed on the spring about the unloaded spring length... you're supposed to preload like 5mm shorter than that i think... Double check. You may actually need to reduce your preload if you're bouncy. Too much preload takes the shock out of its optimum travel and it can't damp the spring movement.

Re: Tri-City Area (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge or Guelph)
Well the rears are all the way down and theres about 2" maybe 3" of threads up front. It came that way.

It's real handy to have especially for winter to summer tire swaps and oil changes

Real *truck and coach mechanics* work on the ground. Just cause your trucks are too heavy to lift. It's much nicer to be on a hoist.

If anyone's bored, we'll be out in the garage this afternoon doing a few things, welcome to stop by.

Re: Tri-City Area (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge or Guelph)
Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to the tri-city area, live in Waterloo. Could you guys recommend a nice shop/mechanic in the area where i can get a transmission fluid done? Also have the infamous gurgling noise between 1500-2000 rpm, so preferably someone's who can look into that. Looking for a good/cheap go-to mechanic as i want to lower the car and do some more mod's eventually. Thanks!
