I am hesitant to put this SafeTape on though, Dave. It looks more "blue" than "white" as a reflective tape. Also looks VERY bright in the pic on the package. Not sure if you got the exact same stuff, but any insight?? I guess i just dont want it to attract too much attention away from the tail lights (im sure you dont either) :)
I prefer the Tamiya Model Paint, it coats a lot better I find. Also does not come out with a flat look like night shades.
It reflects bright white, trust me. It reflects better than any other reflector for the car, so if you don't want that you won't want to use the SafeTape. BUT that is what I used.Quote:

I know I've been a little absent from the board over the holidays but that doesn't mean I still didn't manage to take some pics ;)
There was a real nice frost on boxing day morning so I snuck out and got some pics, notice the frost on the trees, it looked spectacular, not many times you can really say the country is better than the city, but this is one of those times. The last pic is right on our driveway! Definitly a cool site to see when you wake up in the morning!

what rim width is that? 7, 7.5 or 8 inch?
Reason being is i'm looking at some 5zigen rims (proracer 520) and i want the deeper look... i can only get it with the 8inch wide rim. I'm wondering what i can get away with with stock suspension.

Sudz, those are 7.5" with 45 offset. Look into the wheels section of the board there is a lot of info on what will fit and not fit.

Yeah the rims are SICK!!! well the whole car is SICK! perfect rims for the 3 sedan...not sure what they would look like on a hatch? Maybe not as good...

Went to the Airport. Happy with the location, not with the weather or the shots. Oh and did I mention $8 for parking!!! But it was worth it to hear to exhaust echo in the garage.

One suggestion, make sure you order the signal lights asap because the one's that are stock cannot be re-used because they are clear and not amber.
What do you mean? When you order the tail lights isn't it as simple as taking the old ones off and putting the complete new units in....Quote:

Its funny because I had this exact same problem when I picked mine up too, I signalled as shortly as possible to avoid any hassles until I got my amber bulbs but the more I looked around the more I saw vehicles with stock red and even white turn signals?!? But yes, do get the amber ones before the tails come in.
Quick question on the tint paint - Say you screw up and its too dark.... or blotchy or something like that... What are your options? How do you remove it?
3GFX, Your rims look very similar to the 5Zigen Proracer 520's i'm dying for! Love gunmetal on dark cars :-) (errr sorry... black) (repsecting BoD)
lol they're not gun metal or black. They're black chome, little different.
Essentially if you screw up with the tint paint you're screwed. Its paint. I tested it out layer by layer after I painted to see if it was blotchy and still transparent. Its trial and error, light coats following directions.
Other options included buying a new lens or a smoked replacement lens.
Wow, Thanks for that bit of knowledge. Knowing that, I think i'll try some tint stickers from e-bay first.
I wouldn't do that either, it may peel off.
The best investment would be a smoked LED version.

I took before and after shots....unfortunatly they didn't turn out at all. I'm going to take some nicer pics when I get the rims on again. Can't wait to see if they'll fit, its always been my concern if I would lower.
I'm really happy with the pads. The HPS bite incredibly well, initial impressions are just awesome! The rotors...I'm having some issues I'll comment after I break them in.
The springs are awesome, I love them. The ride is nowhere near as harsh as I thought, but the performance is so much better in terms of lean and dive. I love it.
