You are correct it is 2% for fuel purchases. Costco card also earns you an additional 1% when you fuel at Costco, hence 3%. 2% everywhere else.

Not sure if a thread like this has been started before...Trying to find one would take an uber long time so I thought I'd start my own. hehe
Drove my car for 3 days, highway driving on all three days, with about 250-300 km's so far since my last fill up and I currently have about half a tank left...
Feels like my car is treating gas like water! Only difference is, water is 10x's cheaper!
To date, best I was able to do was about 560km's with just under one bar of fuel left (gas light was on at this point)
How about everyone else? :rolleyes
How many kilometer's do you get per tank of gas?
Any secrets to keeping your gas tank full with a good number for kms?
My 2010 is averaging around 425-450km a tank right now. I am pretty sure it can make it to 500 easy, but I tend to fill up asap after the low fuel light comes up. This is 50% highway/50% city. The distance will most likely improve when the weather warms up some more and I changeover to my summer tires.
Last tank was ~600km. When I got the car last summer I hit 700km. I'm sure I could hit 775 or 800 on a long highway road trip.
My secret to good mileage is rolling on 16's, and not trying to add inches with my gas pedal, lol
about 263 km per half tank, winter driving(mostly off highway). But i have a 2.0 litre 5spd manual.
Avg: 9l/100. I'd say 50/50 driving. But the city driving is done by my GF who has a much heavier foot than I.

Probably depends on the station, but overall I'm getting further on less. I think the last tank was well over 600 - I'll have to see if I can reach 800 this summer - I'll carry a spare 10L in the trunk :)
My 2005 Mazda 3 is pretty good with average about 8.5L. It get to about 10 with Winter tires on. I don't do anything like jack rabbit at stop light. Best I've ever done is 675km on 42L of gas. Going to cottage country.
I just recorded 7.4L/100km and this would have been higher except for today's killer snow/ice storm which meant hours of slow stop and go crawling. This is definitely not a one location thing as I track with Fuelly and was never able to get better than 8.4/L up until this last tank.
Should also note that winters are still on and is my 2nd full tank after switching to Penzoil Plat. 100% syn. oil.
Best tank so far is 8.9L/100km.
I'm getting 500 kms on my MS3, and that's 80% highway. But I travel about 45 kms one way to work every weekday. Damn 91 octane prices!
I'm driving a 04 2.0 MT sedan, has 174,000 kms on it. have done several runs from TO to Windsor, with cruise at 112kph and getting consistently over 40 mpg. As high as 43.4 mpg. Still have the snows on which affects mileage, and I have a rear trail arm bushing gone that is pulling the one rear tire out of alignment. Present set up is a K&N drop-in (not noticing allot of difference) and the E3 diamond fire plugs, put in last summer.
All I know is that if gas doesn't lower itself soon, my car won't be seeing any km's anytime soon! LOL
I've got over 650kms on a tank in city driving before... but probably only once. With no bars left I can push another 75-100kms. However as I've read it is not recommended as it leaves the fuel pump dry and can be damaging.
I'm averaging 7.1L/100kms on my last tank. Way down from 9.1L/100kms avg from the cold temp driving.
Before I changed my spark plugs, I was averaging about 400 per tank.. Sometimes even less.. Now, at half a tank, I've already reached the 250km mark.. :):) Not too shabby I'd say. All city driving by the way!
i hit 121.8km before the gauge left full yesterday. will be interesting to see what i will get for the tank. its at about 204 right now with 1 bar above 3/4
My first tank got almost empty on Sunday (bought the car on April 28th).
2010 Mazdaspeed 3. We did 550Km with a full tank. I think we could have gone to 575km.
9.1/100km?
