Yeah that's just ridiculous... You know there might be a chance that the person who quoted you that price made a slight mistake on clicking stuff... Nothing can ever justify doubling a premium if you move 5 minutes down the street.. You ever tried TD Meloche Monnex? They're ok and I've had them for a year and a half and I've never had problems with them...

See that's just another thing to be worried about.. What I think is when you're moving somewhere, you should only be focusing on how your life is gonna be on a daily basis in terms of safety, convenience and affordability (maybe other "important" factors as well). @mazdabetty, sorry to hear. i had someone tell me that their insurance used to be cheaper when they lived in the downtown core than it is now in markham.
the reason for this is the likely-hood of driving around downtown is less than if you were in the suburbs where you drive everywhere so that's why the premiums are higher. however, in your case that's just completely insane. it's time to look elsewhere. gl

Do you live and are Insured in Ontario? Cause in Ontario anytime you are rear-ended it is NEVER your fault, even if you stopped dead at a green light for no reason. The person who hit you from behind is always 100% at fault. FDR (Fault Determination Rule) 6.2. I'd call your Insurance Adjuster and ask wtf and quote that FDR.Quote:
