After I escalated the call - they gave me fair book value PLUS the costs I had recently put into the car. (Winter tires, battery, brakes and muffler)
After I cashed the cheque - I basically told them to stick it and cancelled my policy with them
Hey guys, I have a question. Most of you guys have some sort of mods to your cars. When you guys go out to buy your insurance, do you disclose all of your mods? if any? I'm just wondering how you guys deal with insurance and your modded Mazda 3's.

im paying 218 for a 2010 mazda 3 gx im 24 and i got my g and im with bel air direct best company thats full coverage too
Im paying 300 for my 2006 gt and with RBC, but thats with a speeding ticket and because im only 20. And I never tell them about modifications on the car. If youre looking for cheap insurance your best bet is RBC. Out of every where I called RBC is the cheapest. I find that they give you a lot discounts.

for a new car those quotes are really not that high for a 21 year old, try desjardins they seem to be better with younger drivers
I'm with an insurance company in Timmons that my fiance's parents use. 27F primary and 25M (me), no accidents/tickets for her in past 6 years. One accident in past 6 years for me with no tickets. 2011 GS luxury hatch with 300$ collision and 0$ comprehensive -> 1990$ per year. Also postal code is for Newmarket. When we lived in East York they quoted us 300 more per year. Most of the other insurance companies we got quotes from (TD, CAA, etc) quoted 2500+ per year.
