the imprezza behind neil sounded like nothing ive ever heard. sounded like an old propeller fighter plane
me and neil were the only speeds, let alone 3s at the track on sunday.
had a great time, hope to see more of you guys in june, when someone ends up dieing at a touge track day, the 160 for sigma at ddt will seem like nothing!

Was my first time at TMP on Sunday and the only change would be working on better lines there for myself while becoming more familiar with that track. Definitely have some cobwebs to shake off.
I chewed through my DBA4000 rotors on all 4 corners and will be going to some OEM blanks as it is cheaper to change out the OEMs if they get chewed out again.
The one other thing that I am contemplating is cutting my losses and getting another set of tires in a 235/40/17 size....it's not fun having to hammer the fender lip full flush to stop it from gouging the sidewall of a tire with such a tall sidewall and a width that's really 255.

you've got a whole bunch of toys just sitting in your basement....I consider those "changes" too

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Just get a proper sided wheel and tire. We can test fit mine on your car. When the fender roller gets here I will make them fit.
Edit: How does the transponder mount to the car on the plate bracket?

the mounting bracket for the MyLaps has provisions for zip ties.
there's no more roll left on the rears.... both sides were ghetto rolled with a hammer :chuckle
there's one option left before ditching the 17x8 +40 with the 245/45 balloons ...and that's a proper alignment with some more -ve camber in the rear.
-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
245/45-17 are really tall and are harder to fit then my 255/40-17.
I wanted to run 275 up front but I will have to remove to much shit. So looks like I'm staying at 255's which is still lots of rubber.

I wouldhave gone 255/40 but 8" was my wheel width.
245/45/17 barely fits, but i have yet to rub!

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
The key word there was yet.
I'm assuming you have factory suspension and don't care passengers often.
-
Lol yes stock height.
I do carry 2 adult passengers on a fairly regular basis.
Bags of horse feed sometimes
Loaded to the tits with camping stuff
Somehow havent rubbed!

750lbs??? That's it? I might have done that once (all seats taken - 4 passengers + driver + crap in the trunk). Only problem I had is I immediately felt the car struggling to move. :chuckle

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Just installed a JBR ssp (ver 1). Like a 40% reduction in throw length, but the feel is a bit notchier than before. Guess I might have to look into adjusting the cables or whatever they're talking about on msf. Also, with the SSP installed, you can really appreciate the need for solid shifter bushings so you can get positive feedback when putting the shifter in gear (especially from 3rd to 4th).

Do you feel the shifter seems a bit harder to go through the gates?
-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Yes, I'm wondering if i have to adjust the shifter cables under the shift boot.
edit: imma go for a little drive now to get used to it.
I can get to the shifter cable under the shift boot easily (no tools required). I think I'll mess with this on the weekend and see how it goes

Yup, perhaps if you adjust the cables it might get better. I've never tried that though. Will try it out when I get the energy. :chuckle
