Appliances:
My parents and Nana went with LG washer/dryer pairs. No issues after 4+ years.
I have new whirlpoolpool fridge, electric stove, dishwasher, microwave in my apt. All nice enough. No issues so far.

Maytag or Whirlpool good choices?
I've had a condo size setup all this time due to stupid old stairs. I'm getting a full size pair in my new house even if I have to remove a wall to get them in
Consumer reports votes LG for front loaders. And some European brand for top loaders.

Yup, reviews were good on LG front loaders which is why I went with them.
Anyone try Cana-vac central vacs?

Re: TM3 Home Owners Association
Have the LG 5170 model washer/dryer. Like it better than my Samsung front loader, just because it doesnt have the still water issues front loaders do.
Kitchen - GE Cafe. Really like their Dual Fuel oven. Had the Profile equivalent in the last house, and it was also great. Delayed cook and built in temp probe are nice touches.
Re: TM3 Home Owners Association
Really like my GE Profile stuff too (but my microwave just died...)
Thinking of trying LG, especially as some peeps seem to have had good luck. Thanks!
Re: TM3 Home Owners Association
Had to check for myself - we got front load Whirlpool washer/Dryer LOL

Re: TM3 Home Owners Association
You can buy spacers to use to start your first run... or another method is to cut wooden paint stir sticks into small blocks and use them. That looks like click laminate so it's pretty easy to Install. one trick for cutting the last board in each run. turn the board around and then position it where it would sit and mark the cut location. Saves measuring the last board. the only other thing I will say is to measure across the floor and make sure your last run isn't going to be some tiny sliver of a board. better to rip the first run so the floor is close to even on both sides
Re: TM3 Home Owners Association
Went looking for appliances today, and ended up with Jenn-Air. Fancy wall oven w/ microwave/convection oven combo is my favourite. The missus got her giant fridge (28 cu ft).
Looks like no major upgrades for the car this year :)

Looks like it's time for another backsplash project. What's the best (read: cheapest) place to get tiles? We got 'em from Tile Depot in last time around.

Man, the square footage of a backsplash is so SMALL compared to if you were tiling a floor, wall, etc.... Just get the tile you like the best and don't worry about the price. You'd save like $5 or $10. lol.

Not when some backsplash tiles are $40-50 per sq-ft.
Re: TM3 Home Owners Association
Anyone know a decent drywall taper/finisher? If anyone knows of someone and wants some work give me a shout.

You can get floor tiles that cost that much too. If he was looking at $50 tiles and he wanted to find them cheaper at another store he'd still only save $10 or so.

Im also looking at them but have read good reviews on their tangential bypass motors vs the other flow through motors that most of the other companies like Hoover, Eureka, and Beam use. I'm also looking into getting it soon. GB? Let me know if you are interested or if you have a contact

Don't have a contact...I doubt buying 2 would be enough to get any discounts :(
Re: TM3 Home Owners Association
a first would be a TM3 group buy on central vacs....
Soyabean: Interested in a central vac
Store: Here is the price
Soyabean: But what if I buy 2
Store: Multiply by 2
Re: TM3 Home Owners Association
LoL truth...but Loki, don't you need a central vac too?
Re: TM3 Home Owners Association
Not gonna lie... when I was a kid, I was absolutely terrified of central vac... the hole in the wall that eats things?!?! It's clearly a ****ing monster.
