Are those MB battles?
look like it yes
kind of look like G35 rims too lol
anyone looking for kw v2s let me know, not mine seen a set go up for cheap
If I pulled fenders, you guys think 18x9.5 +22 would work? Would I need camber plates? I don't mind a little poke in the front (as was the case with my street setup).
You're going to need fender flares for that, especially in the front. I know Hyperion needs a few degrees negative camber just to fit 18x8.5 +38 on his front end, and you're talking about another 28mm of poke.
you will definitely have to pull and roll the front fenders and then get as much camber as you can in front. I am running 18x8.75 +20 all around and my front rubs everywhere i go! but it is do-able. i was planning to go with that size in the beginning and you own a 2010+ which means you have a bit wider fenders then the first gen 3's :) ! do it do it !
9" wide with +35mm offset would be similar to my 8" wide with +22mm offset and yes, that should work fine for the Fronts, I simply lowered it didn't even bother checking camber or alignment this summer ... didn't care about wearing out the tires quick ... next spring with fresh rubber, it'd be a different story.
Positive offsets? :P
Lol.. trust me, I wish I coulda run "normal specs". 3pc was the only way to get something that fit.
i ran 18x9 +45 with 235/40 lowered 1.75" inch without pull/roll/rub. the new setup would be square, i wouldn't have a choice as im buying the rims off someone. they come with 255/35/18s (i really want the tires lol)...if i had a choice i would limit it to 9 up front but i dont.

Can't take it any more. Wuss.
I am all for Shavi going Air.
I'm just jelly.
This deserves a mention.

I think shavi swapped out his BC's for solid steel rods.
Probably a crack in the road, possibly sending the rim into the fender.
Don't know why he would return it to stock, and not just lift it up a bit.
"To those that are inquiring, the car was forced to be brought back to stock due to local authority and law. (No modification of stock suspension)."
doesn't really make sense to me.
Apparently, prohibited in Quebec: "Using springs that have been shortened, bundled or overheated. It is also prohibited to have a suspension that is too rigid, an insufficient wheelbase, tires that touch a vehicle component or any part of the vehicle body that touches the road surface in a normal driving situation." So hard-assed cops could have written tickets for improper suspension. Given how low his car sits, and knowing that the AirRex suspension only has about 3" of lift, even raised completely they might deem it too low (or find fault with suspension able to be adjusted while moving). I'm not saying its 100% illegal, but perhaps something like this occurred and Sam decide the hassle of fighting it wasn't worth it.
I love to just have my car photoshopped to look like this.. Then I can decide if I want this lol.. Any takers?
This thread is interesting. Is there any way someone can post the wheel and tire sizes on the cars.
You can run 10" wheels on the car with little issues. So unless they are larger than that I find the ridiculous camber very stupid.
This is what I want to run:

You think we can make it work with pulled fenders? You got the roller and magic touch...
very few, if any people are running wheels larger than 10". Ridiculous camber is mostly due to low offset. Either just for the sake of having low offset, or for a deep dish/concave look.
Agree about the ridiculous camber. I'm personally not a fan. Everyone wants to be "the widest, the most extreme, the lowest" etc... without focusing how their car looks as a whole.
I heard a motorcycle builder/enthusiast describe how I feel best. Something along the lines of this:
Quote:
It's kind of like a movie showing a big custom bike shop designing a bike. A shot of one guy designing the taillights, skip to a shot of another guy designing the gas tank, skip to another guy designing the handlebars... and as the camera pans out to reveal the finished bike, it just looks like a complete mess. Every part is designed well, and looks good on its own, but nothing flows with anything else. To me, I like to think about how one part of the bike will affect another. I like bikes that look like the whole thing was designed and thought out together.
edit: zzz3, methinks that'll be quite difficult to make happen up front.
10" wide on mazda 3. must see!!!
no seriously lol
saw them at nextmod the other day, fitting them will be FUN to say the least lol. exact specs are being kept secret though :chuckle
