Yes, group policy through my wife's work. It's with TD. I've already done my time paying too much for insurance for crappy cars when I was young! :)

got renewal papers in the mail...my yearly premium went down by $2500. happy as can be.

Damn my premium when up again. WTF!? No tickets or accidents in the last 6 + years and it still keeps going up every year. Brutal!

I guess that's what I get moving to Scarborough too. :/

When i was shopping around a n insurance quoted me like $450/mo . I was like "you got to be kidding me." Maybe you should shop around and see what other companies can offer because that is brutal

I'm with Aviva. Thing is, I use my parent's address out in Oshawa. For Scarborough, they quoted me close to $380/mth and when they said it would cost $206/mth in Oshawa, I called my parent's and let them know that now I'm "living" there.

now i pay $225/mo just for my car. my mom should be paying about $110 for hers now.

That's good for you! Crazy for me though! I'm 30 and have no tickets with one at fault accident over 6 years ago and I'm paying around $220 with an alumni discount. My insurance went up $35/mth just by moving to Scarborough!

Scarborough is one of the highest rated cities in Canada. Due to the lack of common sense most driver's show on the roads. My Broker flat out told me to move to Oshawa and drive the 30minutes as it would be cheaper over all (savings of over 2grand/year) which is hard for me to spend on gas since I don't travel much with the Speed3 anyways (2010 with under 30,000km).
