Re: Mazda 3 insurance cost per month ????
i gotta check out the breakdown, but my accord + wife's mazda 3 + house is around $280 a month
not bad considering Brampton insurance rates are among the highest

Re: Mazda 3 insurance cost per month ????
Try Desjardins Insurance, I got an amazing deal from them a few months ago. They are offering low rates as they are trying to push into Ontario from the main Quebec client base.

Re: Mazda 3 insurance cost per month ????
So I'm back with news. I ended up getting a 2005 M3 GT. My insurance is $580/month *le big sigh* and I'm in Scarborough..anyway it's still ok rather than paying 900 bucks... just a recap.. 6 years driving with 2 at fault accidents last year, no speeding tickets or parking tickets. My insurance provider is Gevco. I read that someone here said that once they moved to B-town their insurance went up like crazy. That is because B-town has a higher rate of accidents than any other city in the GTA. Apparently Scarborough isn't as bad anymore. I got this info from my broker. She also told me that if I lived in B-town none of the insurance companies would have accepted me as a client..in addition Richmond Hill is slowly being added to the list. Hope this helps!

Re: Mazda 3 insurance cost per month ????
wow $580 for just a mazda 3 thats high! and 6 years of driving to id say shop around !
-
Re: Mazda 3 insurance cost per month ????
How can you justify 580/month? I'd be bussing that shit. Hell, that's more than my speed payments

Re: Mazda 3 insurance cost per month ????
You should move to Quebec:D
My insurance both ways is 48 dollars a month for a 2013 mazda 3 sport gs-sky
but i have never had an accident in my 15 years of driving
I used to live in Toronto the insurance premiums are out of this world. Greater chance of getting hit by someone as it is densely populated

Re: Mazda 3 insurance cost per month ????
Paying anything North of $350 would be too much in my book. I rather just buy a MetroPass and use the TTC. I'm in shock at having to pay $257 atm.

What's up with ScotiaBank then? Crazy broad must have been drinking! lol
Check Cumis... they are a part of HB Group / Cooperators. Have used them for the past 7 years after a incident with TD / Primmum... (I was rear ended on the opposite side of a stop light after a car ran the light, hit 3 cars and all 4 ran into me). Primmum didn't even bother confirming liability and I was told to pay 1000 deductible to get my car (obviously, I was rear ended and charges were filed so a no brainer). I was told by Primmum if I didn't return my rental car that night I would have to pay for it, and they were 'unable' to reach the other persons insurance to confirm liability therefore I had to pay the deductible. Funny thing, I called the other guys insurance myself right after I got off the phone and they had yet to receive anything from Primmum, but called in with me on the phone to do whatever they needed to do, she also apologized and said that they should have contacted them as all 3 other insurance companies for the cars behind me had... proves how lazy Primmum was. After that claim was dealt with, that was the last of my dealings with them! I pay $100 a month for insurance and have 300 ded., and 2mil liability. Cumis has been wonderful!
I have a friend who wrote off a car (Dodge SX2.0 caught on fire when she bumped into a BMW x5), she had Cumis, and they were compassionate enough to let her keep the rental for a month after they deemed it a write off so that she can figure out what new car she wanted. They extended the rental 4 times for her. Now that is service! :)

Re: Mazda 3 insurance cost per month ????
If I take the buss to work it would take me 1.5 hours plus 30 mins walking...and I would do the same thing at the end of the day when coming back home...so 4 hours per day commuting when driving it take me 30 mins to get there 30 to get back home...I know it's terrible...but taking the buss is the worst. At least if I could take the train/subway it wouldn't be as bad.

You know what it takes me an hour and a half to get up to York U, and when i went to Humber College it took me a bit over an hour....and i still take the bus. Cheaper than gas/parkng. If i had that kind of insurance...you better believe the TTC/Mississauga Transit/ETC. would be my best friend.

Don't you feel really exhausted when you get home? I did that for 7 months and at one point I got so ill that I couldn't go to work.

Re: Mazda 3 insurance cost per month ????
$200 a month includes our condo (i think that's $20/mo) and my wife as a second driver, both of us above 30 yrs old. I'm with The Personal insurance.

I suppose everyone is different, so you do what best works for you.
I did it for three years while at Humber, now i'm on my third year subway/busing it up to York.
You just got to do what you got to do.

Yup. I agree with that. Good luck on your studies!
