Thats asom. i used to have a dust white angel A1 loved that gun, shot like a dream. i always wanted to join xball team. id probly only make cx4 or rxl.
Is the sport still going strong? i rember back in 06-08.5 it was going strong, than started to slow down big time.
I still have some of my gear. shame i got rid of alot of stuff. i really wanted to get back into the game but never had the time. Had some of my best life time memories playing paintball.
to be honest, the scene in canada and the rest of the world is pretty grim right now. axbl folded last year, and i'd be surprised if the cxbl last one more...
but i'm sure there's an upswing on the horizon. i won't be around to see it mind you. next year i'm starting my auto racing career.
thought i would be picking up my new to me 07 ms3 but thanks to convenient banker hours, i have to wait one more day. Will be at least one more trip to the bank before i get the cheque in hand. ugh
damn!
wow. that sucks. its because it so damn expensive to play. i rember entrance +pballs was like 60$ using shitty paint. not to mention parts, gears and guns were stupid priced. i used to buy 100% of my stuff used because i could save 50+ dollars oppsed to buying new
I used to just go rent a gun and such every so often, but $80 a day for gun plus paint and whatnot is kind of expensive. It's pricey but fun, like any other hobby.
it's retarded expensive for renters. you pay 80 for the gear and 200 paintball. we pay 60 for the field time and 2000 paintballs.
but i play a different kind of paintball than most renters have ever seen.
The place I went to play a few years ago it was $22.50 for gear, unlimited time for the day, co2 and first 200 balls. Every 100 balls after that was $12.50. All those prices were cash, tax included.
Last chance @ APH with Christian on feb 1st Tuesday. Firm Interest by pm Only.
That'd be dope. I think between practice every weekend, and traveling as far as gonanoque for events, the season cost me about 2700 bucks. That's not including any of my gear just paint, travel and accommodations.
What kind of fuel consumption are you gents seeing this winter? My trip computer lies hard. Says my average is 10.6L/100km. But when I average out my litres in vs km driven from fill to fill, I see about 11.2-12.2L/100km. I'm lucky to see 400km on a tank of ultra94. Bone stock. 50km per day of highway, and some mixed highway/city the rest of the time.
12.5-14L/100km all city 8.8-9.2L/100km all highway
Is that by your computer, or by your maths?
I put all my info all the time into Fuelly. My mileage average is in my sig. I do a lot of highway to Montreal and back. That's how I get a lot of tanks 100% city and a lot of tanks 100% highway. I don't get too many mixed tanks. Usually I get about 350-375 kms for 50L of gas all city. My mods are cai and fmic.
I'll need to look into this fuelly thing... Thanks for the legit responses.
NP. I changed my stock cd deck out a while ago, so I don't even have the stock computer anymore. :P
And yes, it is VERY optimistic. Speed matters huge in this car for mileage, though. Normally to Montreal and back I set my cruise to 120km/h the whole way. It is 535 km from my apartment to my girlfriend's and I do that in one tank pretty easily, but when I get to her place the low fuel light is usually on (usually fill with 47-48L JUST after light comes on). Same when I come home, obviously. The last time I went was in January, and I tried going 100km/h the whole way with the cruise on. with the whole trip at 100, when I got there and got home after 535 kms I still had 1/4 tank of gas. I think I got to 650 kms on the tank I came home with and filled with 52.1L. That works out to just a hair over 8L/100km. When I bought my car the highway mileage rating was 7.6L/100km. The last 115 or so kms on the tank was all city, so I might have actually come close to the factory rating while I was on the highway.
Sweet. Setting the cruise at 120 for the summer drive to north Carolina and kicking back with a good book... Wait wut?
400km/tank is the going average.
try shell vpower 91 with no ethanol... i get much better fuel mileage ... just lower boost targets
Alright cool. It's a few pennys a litre cheaper too.
But does the ultra94 actually have ethanol in it?
Also, thanks you two. Now I know there isn't anything "wrong" with my kilometreage.
Lol, yea, you're not in a honda anymore. :P
And yes, ultra 94 has ethanol, that's one of the ways they increase the octane. Ethanol will lower mileage but increase octane. I read on MSF there were a few guys who would mix 2.75 gallons of E85 ethanol into a full tank for premium gas to make a cheaper type of racing octane fuel. Seemed to work well for them.
I read that thread as well. I need to read more about e85 in and unto itself.
Ah, my last Honda got 17L/100km and spent most of it's life between 8000 and 9000 rpm.
I just wanted to make sure this was normal.
