matte or glossy black for roof?

hey, this will be my first post (woot woot)...

i have a red mazda 3 2010 HB. i'm planning to add a black vinyl to the roof of the car. what would your suggestion be? matte black; or glossy black?

Glossy black gets my vote. Though red with flat black might look good.

Go glossy. You doing just stripes or the whole roof?

i'm doing the entire roof. thought about doing stripes, but decided to go simple.

i like the glossy look. but maintenance may be a hassle. keep the thoughts coming, i'm getting this done on august 31. i will post pictures of the end/final results then.

after seeing those, do you still stand on the side of glossy?

i like the matte you did on your car. that is definitely where i got the inspiration from to get my roof matte vinyl. i initially wanted glossy until i saw your picture. that's where the dilemma began...

but on my white MS3 its glossy

Theme is key - I'd go gloss IF you paint it, otherwise, go matt for scratches etc. I may be painting my roof pearl black or "just" gloss black. Was thinking about it for a while and almost did it at the beginning of the summer - then I saw a certain MPS's CWP with black roof - very nice - now I NEED to do it!!! :)

i think i'm gonna go for glossy to match the texture of the paint job and the theme i have in mind for it. i'm not planning to do much to it. but we'll see.

anyone know how to treat/clean/maintain vinyls?
