Ill see about the tint as i would be taking the car to college ( Humber College Etobicoke) and that area seems sketchy from my mom's experiences when she used to work near there( another reason for dashcam as well).
Any good shops for tinting ( that wont result in bubbling)???

Audio Heaven, a forum sponsor, does a great job. I was just there last week and they did my other car. Great work. For dashcams check out Lockdown, another sponsor. Both do quality work.

What does the area you'll be going to college in have to do with your decision to tint your car windows? If anything tinting will actually work in your favour most likely as people will be less likely to see that touchscreen deck you have installed.
Jackal is also bang on with his recommendations.

I actually meant what you just said about tinting actually working in my favour.... as the main thing im concerned about is the deck getting stolen as there is no anti theft to it from what i see and it seems pretty easy to remove if you have the tools and the knowledge.....
only thing that might stop me is that having a tint can also imply to a potential thief that i have something to hide.... ( i wont keep any valuables in the car though so i will only be concerned about the GPS system)

As long as you still have your factory alarm and people keep modding EGs and EKs without putting proper alarms on them, your car is as safe as any other dime a dozen compact hatch on the market :)
Re: Asyed's Mazda 3 Sport GS
took some more pics today while waiting at cousin's house as the last shots were horrible quality/ poor lighting

.... I really need to wash the car though...
TO DO:
- OEM spoiler ( already working on that)
- Tints ( Will drop by Audio Heaven when I have the time)
- Fetch missing rear headrests/ cargo cover/ lugwrench/ jack handle from GTA fine cars ( once they are available)
- TM3 Decal!!!! ( might drop by Lockdown for that one after I get my tint done...)
Not considering any other mods since i dont have much money at the moment.
Re: Asyed's Mazda 3 Sport GS
Car is looking very promising. Tints would make a big difference. I also like the head unit. Very neatly integrated.

yes the headunit was installed by the place I bought the car from.... everything has been kept neat and tidy ( only thing is that the iPod wire comes out from the ashtray compartment but thats not that big of an issue)
Ive decided to not to do any mods that would increase the risk of theft of the car ( I.E Rims) since im going to be parking in a very sketchy part of toronto when i go to college ( From what ive heard from my mom)
Ill leave the gps in though since its not that easy to remove and you really have to know what your doing......
Re: Asyed's Mazda 3 Sport GS
hey man where did u get the head unit and how much ?
also id suggest getting an alarm if u saying this place is sketchy, anyone who knows mazda3s knows its only 2 screws to take out the headunit, easy/fast job

I got the headunit from the dealer I bought the car from. And I think my car might already have an alarm.... I shall see though since itll be mostly parked in an above ground college parking lot....and im mostly gonna be on campus during daylight hours....
I shall see because Im not a huge fan of an aftermarket alarm since it just doesnt feel the same as a factory alarm since afternarket alarms arent as reliable and sometimes not as loud since most of them dont make use of the horn ( atleast the one on my parent's minivan doesnt) :/

Brought an OEM spoiler from a fellow member and got it installed at Street Peformance 2 days later
looks very nice
As for the OEM rear taillight... I think ill leave it on incase the Spoiler LED's crap out.....
Re: Asyed's Mazda 3 Sport GS
Update:
Got car rust proofed today
also got brand new tires ( Cooper Zeon ZPT I think) and finally got my rear headrests/cargo cover
To do:
Tints
Dashcam
ill probably do these when I have the funds and the time ( post secondary education is busy for me)

lol it's okay, it is winter (well, almost) after all. Tough to keep the car clean in those months. Specially if you're like me and can't justify paying upwards of $7 minimum for an automated car wash....or are just too cheap :P I just wait for the relatively warmer days in the winter months to get out every few weeks and give the car a quick clean when possible.

LOL same here, I just get the "wtf" look from my parents if I visit the car wash too frequently....although im probably going to give it another wash on monday right before the meet... ( if it gets dirty enough by then :P)
hopefully it does not snow before monday....
Re: Asyed's Mazda 3 Sport GS
Installed my all season tires today:
http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2305e497.jpg
and then installed something that had been lying around for a while now:
http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...ps220b6a46.jpg
RA Urethane Mudflaps
:headbang
then installed tm3 plates for the front ( the front sticker is peeling off and Im just going to remove the rest of the sticker because it doesnt look good with missing letters)
http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...ps414215f5.jpg
ignore the somewhat dirty car :s ( will wash /wax/detail tommorow and provide better pics of the setup)
EDIT: sorry for the bad pics... It got too dark outside by the time I was done.
Re: Asyed's Mazda 3 Sport GS
Took some better pictures

Washed/waxed it last night. Then had to drive through dusty roads in the morning... Mudflaps do their job pretty well.
Thinking of getting the Corksport LED light kit and aftermarket HVAC knobs next.
Re: Asyed's Mazda 3 Sport GS
Now that's clean. Nice shine too. Should think of a clay bar sometime this Spring/Summer.
