Doing some exhaust searches and need some help, what's a good exhaust for the first gen Mazda 3 GT sedans?
Yup, borla and accessory speed3
I have heard that Corkscrew is a good one?
Any recommendations for 2014 and Newer Catback exhaust ideas or brands for the GT Hatchback with the 2.5 ?
Yes that was a great auto correct by my phone LOL
I have a racing beat, its a quieter than an corksport and doesn't drone like corksport at cruising speeds and it sounds excellent in my opinion when you give it the beans.
Than my next question is... with looking at some videos online through Youtube.. Which sounds like a Speed3 but has some balls to the growl so it is not too loud but enough to sound Decent (Since we are talking upgrading a 2.5L 185 HP Engine Mazda GT Sport..) Suggestions?
Www.Carid.com is a pretty well known website or you can type in borla exhausts into google, there's also hks exhaust too
I'm actually thinking about wrapping mine light smoke (from eBay). Had VHT nightshades before, but got tired of the blacked out look, so took them off and ruined by taillights in the process (lesson learned, avoid VHT at all costs, it's a pain to remove and you might end up ruining the finish if you're not careful). They're GT tailights too lol, pretty exp to replace, might check out some wreckers for a bargain.
I also vouch for CarID, lots of options, mainly US and Euro brands, Magnaflow, Borla, etc. Shipping to Canada can be pricey depedning on the item though. I'd recommend just adding to cart and calculate shipping before you check out (just to be safe).
Besides that, there's also Nengun which I recommend for JDM brands. They also got a platform on the website where you can buy used parts. They ship worldwide as well.
On a side note, have you considered a MS3 exhaust for your 3? It sounds pretty good, not too loud, but brutal still.
Borla seems the way to go, but I am still on the fence about Turbo-Charging my Mazda3 2014 down the road. I mean I bet they will come out with a AWD version soon.

This is what convinced me to grab the accessory speed cbe

I think this may be an accessory cbe for the 2.3 as its supposed to be a 3" tailpipe, off a stock speed i believe its 4"
Gen 3 Mazda 2014 GT... should I go with Borla or Cork sport?

I have these 2 videos to go off of.
What are your opinions?
Borla all the way!
Yeah I am ordering one hopefully next week. Waiting to see if I get it same time as the Body Kit parts from Japan.
Should be getting the Catback on Tuesday or Wednesday when I have time between both jobs LOL.
Wondering how much deeper the sound will be... The BORLA came in much faster than the body kit. I feel like my car will sound like a ricer since people will look at it and be like...isn't it just a normal Mazda Gen 3?
Did you get/install your exhaust and do you like it?? I put a a magnaflow cat back on my 13 I liked it at first but now after a few weeks I can't stand it wish I didn't throw my stock exhaust away now i'm looking for a stock used gen 2 2.5L exhaust which seems impossible to find.
I have Had my Borla on for about a month and a bit and It is nice, It sounds like the Mazda has balls! Of course the sound does tend to drone at times and it was a little annoying to the ears at times but and nice cruising speeds it is not unbrearable.
Of course when I get the Bodykit in (Still waiting for it from Japan) It will all be worth it. The car looks like a sleeper which I love how it throws people off. My Horsepower is over 200 hp now and it competes with power to a GTI which was the goal so far until next spring.
Exhaust, sri and decals.
