so instead of red he saw green and right away thought "slam that gas pedal to the floor".

i assume he was on a street with a 60 limit, and if he was going 80 (that's what it says on mazda3forums) then thats the only explanation that i can think of.

thats a bad impact, im surpise that it held up as good as it did with the truck at 80km/h

well its also good too see that if there were passengers in the back they probably would have been fine.

+1 for the hatch, because the impact was so high from the truck i wonder how much further foward the damage would have been on the sedan.
