    Default Exhaust Shop Recommendation

I have a 2010 hatchback 2.5 that needs exhaust work. I was to told to replace the mid pipe including catalytic (one piece) is just under $1000. Is there any significantly cheaper options? Any shop recommendations?

I just used JPG exhaust last month.
I replaced the mid cat with a high flow cat (i used the a Yonaka cat https://www.yonaka.com/category_s/390.htm)
The flanges were usable so they cut out the old mid cat and welded on new yonaka.
(under $250 for labour and shop parts cant remember exactly maybe less plus new cat).
I was actually told by shop that the mid cat doesnt really do much and you could go just pipe
and that should not set off your secondary O2 sensor since its sampling before the mid pipe
and exhaust note will get a bit louder (with or without a performance exhaust) and your exhaust flow
will increase and get a few more HP....(maybe 2 or 3 HP)

I've been to plenty over the years including JPG. No complaints about them but the best I've been to is likely Zorro Muffler in Mississauga. https://zoromuffler.com/index.htm

Went to JPG today. Friendly and honest. Significantly cheaper alternative to Midas.

I wouldn't let Midas touch my car if they were the last shop in the world.

I too recommend JPG Exhaust in Oakville. Friendly and quick, and since they believe in God, they will never do anything dishonest.
