Default What tires do you like for summer? Deals?

We have winter tires but need a set of summers now. I was using a set of Continental Contiprocontact and liked them. They do have some bad reviews regarding their inability to take a good pothole bang without developing sidewall damage. I never had that issue but also never nailed a pothole too badly.

I'm open to suggestions. We have Crappy tire out here, Kal Tire, Fountain, etc. and our local garage guy say he can get a good deal of stuff in for us.

Any specials out there as of May. 22, 2021 that you know of?

I hate noisy tires. We get some rain here in the shoulder seasons so wet braking would be a bit of a consideration.

    Thanks.

I have been running General Tire Altimax RT43's for my summer set and love them! Quiet, excellent wet/dry traction and inexpensive. Really great bang for your buck

That DA tire website is a cool place with all those rebates compiled like that. Saves a lot of looking around. Thanks.

I cheaped out and went with Sailun Aspire for $116.00 at Fountain tire. Of course it was $667 or something with the other crap. They are super quiet, nice to drive, smooth and give a soft ride. They are not a performance tire, behaving pretty much like our 16" tires even thought they are on the 17" rims. I'm happy. Unless they are bald as banana peels this fall. Then I won't be happy.
