Thanks. I do like the new GLI but hey I really like this bodystyle (obviously). MkV FTW!!!
The doors were tough, I will not do that again unless I'm really bored and kind find some better glue and material.
Thank you, I did take those pics.

Welcome to the dub crew! Now to mod her up![]()

Congrats on your new ride.

I'm sure you read the mod list already :p

Added some smoked corner markers...after brokerage fees they came to $70. Rip off if you ask me but its to late nowAt least they look good. Here's a picture of the Jetta FlyAudio system (I upgraded the software from iGo 8 to iGo Primo) with my new Sub Setup...a little less pound than the 12" I had in my Mazda3 but this sub covers more range.

Sooooo.....rim's are on and coilovers go on Tuesday. Clearance around the tires is tight especially in the front. Bring on the camber!!!
Sorry for the crappy cell pic....you know I'll take better pictures when its done

Couple of changes since the last post in the thread, and even since the BubbaQ.
I've gone APR Stage 2+ Test Pipe software running a Raceland 3" downpipe custom fitted to my 2.75" Milltek Cat-Back. It's funny to say Cat-Back because at this point I'm running catless hence the "test pipe" software. I'm impressed with the power (I might dyno this weekend) but it should be around 290hp and 325tq @ crank. It's actually a good sounding exhaust, not overly loud considering there is only a muffler no resonators. But it does smell a little of gas or manliness depending on your opinion. I also have a boost gauge in the vent to keep track of the boost. I've peaked at 22psi but it usually is around 15 - 20 when I'm on it.
Love the car now, and can say with little hesitation I don't miss my Mazda as much. But I still do....a teensie bit.

So I haven't updated in a while. Mostly cosmetic changes at this point, and some just finished yesterday so they aren't even in the pics yet!
I've done mostly cosmetic with OSIR front fog covers, painted body match paint. They now have projector fogs installed, along with a Euro switch in the cabin which allows me to disable the DRLs in parking light setting. I've also got a new boost gauge to help me keep track of boost (peak 22psi to date). I've also gone with something a little different from most Mk5s and done custom mounted splitters on the front. They are for a 1st Gen TT. They are OSIR full carbon parts. Oh and a mandatory sticker set on rear window
. Other than that the motor and the rest are par from the last update. I'm looking into a high pressure fuel pump from APR and I intend to get a new shift knob from the GF for christmas! I'm also budgeting for custom leather interior and monitor headrest, but these will be farther down the road. First priority is new summer tires. Burned through me 452s in just one season
...not happy. Enjoy the pics....
