24 in the first half. Yeesh. Cats look better than the Raps though.
One rookie that's been pretty impressive so far in the season: Harrison Barnes
Watch him throw it down with authority:
Going to post this here..I used to love watching Shawn Kemp..

Then he got fat and slow. =[
They tried picking him up a year ago but he had an injury.
Raptors win! Raptors win! Raptors win!
...been a while since I said that
Rap hold on to win four in a row! First time in two years. Been loving their team play as of late. Calderon has been simply spectacular, and Anderson has been playing well too.
Who else thinks Bargs should stay where he is; on the bench..with the way he was playing, I swear we play better without that 7 footer on the court being all lost and ruining what little offensive flow we get going with his shot attempts.
Wonder if Bargs finally realizes why the Raps were the worst team in the league....maybe because he was taking Davis' minutes?!?
If we can get the Bargs from early last year back, Raps are a better team for it. I love the 4 game win streak, but let's also look at who they have beaten:
Dallas - without Dirk, are a 12 - 13 team, but nobody knows how they have won this many
Houston - 13-12 right now, but only Harden has been good, Lin has been mediocre.
Cleveland - worse record than the raptors
Detroit - same record as the Raptors
Also remember all 4 games have been at home..
Yea, if he plays at that same caliber he definitely lifts this team. But the way he was playing as of late was just hurting our productivity. I'm getting pretty fed-up with his inconsistencies now.
That's true; we haven't beaten any "great" teams. But it's nice to see them finally close some games out, and that too put together a stretch of that behavior. I think there's easily 5-7 games we could have won so far this year, and we'd have a much different record if the Raps had put in that extra little effort to win those games. So it's nice to see them finally win some close ones, and hold on/expand on a lead in the 4th.
Hopefully they can keep up this type of play for the tougher teams to come. And Bargs better be doing a hell of a self-evaluation for himself right now while watching the team thrive without its "best player".
We've lost to bad teams though too.
Partly because Bargs blows it during "crunch" time
He seems to think a pull-up contested 3 pointer is the best shot available during the last 2 minutes of the game.
predictions for tonights game?
Had 4 tickets to watch @ the ACC but decided to give my brother in-law an early Xmas gift
Nice gesture.
I think tonight's game is gonna be exciting. Both teams are hot right now, on a four-game win streak. I'm hoping we get to see Fields on the court tonight (he's been cleared to play again but hasn't been placed on the court for the past two games) but with the new-found chemistry the second-unit guys got going, he might not make it into rotation just yet. I have no doubt Calderon will continue his spectacular play of late. Should be a great game to watch.
Amir Johnson showing some Raptors love..

5 in a row baby!!
Big game from Ross. Huge put-back (man that was nasty), steal and sick slam, and a steal again down the stretch of the game were some of the crazier plays he made today. Great game.

Nets Fire Coach Avery Johnson.
Came as somewhat of a surprise to me, but I guess something had to be changed with their record as of late. I personally really like this team, and think they could be at a much better standing right now than they actually are. The assistant coach will take over for now, but there's already some rumors of the Nets possibly reaching out to Phil Jackson.
Thoughts?
A little surprising, but not shocking. Particularly given he was in the last year of his contract, and Deron Williams had been critical recently.
Problem for the nets is they have so much salary committed and only a mediocre roster.
Easier to replace the coach than the players.
Very well played game from the Raps to start the year off with a win. Undefeated in 2013!
I hear ya JV!
DD and TR racking it up!
