$255, 08.5 mzd3, 21, clean record. I believe that's for 11 months too because of some payment changing issues, so one months is distributed between the other 11.

2013 Mazda 3 GS-SKY sedan
24
G license (since 2011)
RBC Insurance
No tickets/1 at-fault accident in 2007 (fell off already)
Downtown Toronto

I'm 31, my 09 Speed3 is running me around $195/mth here in Toronto. No accidents on my record and no tickets. With Johnson/Unifund.
I'd love to find cheaper but any online quotes i've gotten were ridiculous. Besides, I know i'm covered with Johnson beyond a first accident. I've heard horror stories of people getting dropped after an accident and a comp claim from places like State Farm. Try getting insurance with a drop on your record...

loki I live in Scarborough and just move here in 2008 from Manila and got my license "G" on the same year and my wife last year. The lowest car insurance I got was $245 from TD and that was in 2010. Then in 2011 we change insurance company because TD jack up is price from $245 to $320 I believe. We chose Scotia bank because at first they gave us a price $260 I think, then it when up to $320 after 2 weeks when they found out I got speeding ticket. After that year in 2012 we found Aviva for $270 so change insurance company again. My wife got her license "G" last November so I add her as a secondary driver, guess what my insurance when up again to $350 and that what I'm been paying seen then.![]()
I don't have any minor or major accident or any claims. My only fault is the speeding ticket occur in 2010 of Feb. It just a minor offence in my opinion, because I'm just traveling normally without noticing that I hit 62km on a 50km road from midland going north after crossing shepherd street. I'm have been driving seen I was 16 years old and I drove so many cars and trucks already. The insurance fee that I pay here every month vs back home is consider the whole years for my car insurance over there. Amazing!!! right that why I don't understand how they sleep at night peacefully.![]()

So if you get into an accident ( at fault) you won't get your car covered, but if you car gets damaged while parked on the street you are?
Liability is mandatory in Canada. So I know you have that.
Honestly. Look into other companies. I understand your relatively new ( in insurance eyes) to the country. But there is no reason why you should be paying that much at your age. Look into direct companies. Best bet is to look at insurancehunter.ca and see what they will charge.

19, zero tickets, G license, drivers training - $288/month with TD (university affiliation discount)

I understand that. But age does play a large factor. Plus both him and his wife have their G license. So I would assume they have had insurance since 2009.
On top of that. There is insurance companies out there specifically designed for new to Canada drivers. In college I knew many " kids" paying WAY less insurance then me who were new to Canada.
At the end of the day I figure with some due diligence there is a much better rate out there for him and his wife.

And suddenly I don't feel so bad about my $440/mo
How I feel most of the time:
Does anyone know if there is a penalty for ending insurance with TD Meloche Monnex within a year. I've only been with them since April, but at this point Intact seems to offer a package similar to what I have for about $70/mo less ($370). The lady from Intact said that combined with initial double payment, possible penalty etc, it may not be worth for me to switch and I should just wait. Thoughts?
Im 25, driving an 05 3 GT, paying $175 a month with Belair Direct + qualified for 1 forgiven at fault accident.

I pay almost 400/month on my 2011 mz3. G license since 2011 Sept. and 2 years of G2 b4 that. I had insurance since 2007, (under my dad name while G1) as a second driver.
Anyone who is an Licensed Engineer here? do you know if i can qualify for a group discount on TD Molex under Engineers of Canada if i am an EIT? Also, i'm turning 25 nxt month.

$117/mth through TD Meloche Monnex with the Sheridan Alumni discount. 2008.5 MS3.
(I do not have collision, etc on this car, and I work from home, so there are no daily driven km's, and I'm the only driver.)
Also of note, am 32 y/o and went through the graduated licensing program.
