yes, the only way to get a new socket is from a dealer.... or you can go to a yank a part yard

but $20 shipping. Have you checked and see how much the dealer is charging you? Try a different dealer for a quote maybe?

I ended up going to the dealer because I didn't want to risk a ticket for my tail lights. It cost me 8$ at the dealer.
