Good luck with your insurnace company if you get into accident.... They won't cover it cause of your air bag is gone

Stratified tuning currently… Numbers coming soon
Your face won't get used to it if you're in a collision
Though I believe the chances of a 20 year old in a modded turbocharged hot hatch getting into a collision are quite slim
@CloudPump
But us TM3 guys don't know a whole lot about anything

very slim..
wonder if momo sells steering wheels with airbags in them.
I don't think so, I've seen some aftermarket ones with bags in them but I wanted the momo race wheel, smaller and feels awesome
When did I ever say Brians tune was shit? I'd like to give stratified tuning a shot so why not? Don't know why u have to spread shit that isn't true.
Well, you kinda implied that you want to re-tune before the motor goes boom.
MarineMazda (03-29-2014)
never said that, if something i said made it seem like that itsnott true. I would like to try another tuner (lex/stratified) and see the differences/results and compare. this is my first time doing serious tuning on a built car and i would like to explore all options.

was in the heat of the moment, didn't mean it like that. i just basically want a second opinion. going to give stratified a shot and see what we come up with
Cleaned up. You guys want to bitch at each other, do it on MSF or in PMs.
set a baseline for the tune you have now. numbers dont tell the whole story of how well a car is running. you can have the most power and be slow on the track depending on how the power is put down. put down a solid time at a track and compare to the other tune your planning on trying out. this will tell you alot. there will be differences in times no matter what due to changes in conditions like temperature, tire wear, but it will still be a good indication of how the car is running overall. just my 2 cents.
i think its a good idea to try out different options. but know the risks.
also, dont pay attention to the haters, you know your doing something right when you piss off some of the speed guys without saying anything, but by just doing your own thing.

Mikey seemed to miss the point in the beginning that the guys who have the technical knowledge here were genuinely trying to help him yet, at almost every opportunity, that advice was cast aside as if it was irrelevant and he went about it his own way.
Repeated instances of asking for advice, getting answers and then disregarding them to some degree is why those that know on here don't bother giving solid advice anymore. (I will give Mikey this though, he did find an engine/machine shop that got the job done right the first time.)
Plus the fact that he tried selling his car knowing it was low on compression but dodging the question or saying everything was fine when asked about it. Those kind of things rub people the wrong way, especially in a community as close knit as some of the speed3/6 guys are
And then he posts on MSF referring to the guys on TM3 as people who don't "actually know what they're talking about" when the guys who were originally trying to help him on TM3 are the SAME GUYS that "actually know what they're talking about" on MSF.
As for the whole tune thing...for those that can't see the posts on MSF, draw your own conclusions as to how it came across but the last part implies that the current tune will cause the current motor to go boom, necessitating the need to spend "another couple thousand for a new motor..."

good points. i didnt know that help was given and then rejected. also, I know Brian's tunes are not garbage which is why he should try out the current tune when it gets nicer out. a dyno tune is 100% better than e-data logging for a tune. pretty much showed that on the mazdaedit thread.

Never said tune was garbage, I don't get when I tossed away advice from u guys. Whatever this is so ridiculous. Say whatever u want. Or why not just go bother someone else?
Got Beef?
