oooooo. come to the dyno day on saturday and find outmy turbo is actually using a bit of oil at idle. still hitting targets so i should be able to put down close to 300 wheel on brian's dynapack. btw, anyone know if he changed his setup to rollers vs direct bolt on to the packs? @Fobio @CelestSpeed3

Fack. That sucks. I don't know if I wanna upgrade or just slap on another k04. Might try the Smokey turbo fix also.


My meth pump broke... one thing after the next with this car right now... status light comes on so its getting signal and power.
I tried to manually pump it by connecting the leads to the battery and it won't even turn the pump on so it's completely pooched... trying to see if snow performance will warranty it or not. I will have to pay shipping to Snow performance because "Canada" and a brand new pump is $120-$200 so I am deciding on paying for shipping and hoping its covered (which it should be seeing as I only ran a 50/50 mix and didn't misuse it) or get a new one all together.

I was reading Mark Stielow's Jalopnik AMA this morning...I mean, I had the whole good engineering school + FSAE experience figured out 20 yrs ago, and when he mentioned that that's a good way to get into an engineering gig at the Big 3, I felt a sense that, "hey...these are good ppl who prolly think like me!" And I finished the read with a sense of comfort that there are good ppl in these programs and it made me think even more highly of FSAE programs...
Then I read that post and realize...and reminded of by MBNTO...that FSAE basically lets anyone in. Sigh...I feel less for FSAE now, than I did this morning...

btw. who was at mosport on the weekend to check out the new DDT? i know @Kiyomi was there and layed down some good laps in his 3, but didnt see any others. there was a guy in a super clean 8 that was pretty quick also. @Fobio, i take it you never made it up. Track looks good for all those wondering. brand new pavement on the entire track, and a mean banked corner utilizing the old oval. longer front straight and a wicked chicane at the end of it. very interesting track now, and much faster. there's my 2 cents anyway![]()

The video I tried to share on FB was a hot lap...you can see the track surface is paved smooth, but the track overall has uneven undulations, likely from "frost heaves" as observed by MBNTO from others who've been there a week ago. The run-offs look rutted and rough, with no curbing. I haven't been on it yet, but I just wanted to share some early observations and for us to see how/if it improves. As of now, it's not good enough for any sanctioned racing that we do on it.
