Agreed. I'm also 28 with a clean record - no accidents or tickets since I started driving at 16. I was with TD for the last 2 years and I was paying $2060 annually, even being part of an alumni group. I assumed TD had the cheapest rates until I did some further investigation. I switched to Scottish and York this past August, and I'm now paying $1591 annually for the exact same coverage.

I just took my G2 exit (highway) this morning and passed, called the insurance and they said there is no discount! WTH!? I thought it would! They said a discount will only be given when I take a ministry approved drivers ed course. Anyone can suggest a place that isn't too expensive to get the certificate course?

Good point. I'm glad I never went under my parents name and went through my own since 17. And it wasn't a bad thing. Cost a lot then not so much now. Also depends on your age as well.

When I bought my car brand new in 07 I was at 427/month. Your car is 5 years old and your paying more then that. That's just nuts. Even if you did drivers training it wouldn't drop it down too too much. But get your G and it might go down a bit.
