    Default 2016 Nissan 370z - $30k starting

I am pretty impressed with this move from Nissan and following Subaru strategy with the $30k WRX.

I've always loved the look of this car but can never justify the price range and impracticality. But for $30k, I think it puts it in a sweet spot.

    http://www.autos.ca/general-news/nis...zs-base-price/

    http://driving.ca/nissan/370z/auto-n...0000-in-canada

Nissan has trimmed the 370Z’s starting price in Canada by $10,000.

That’s right: for 2016, a base Nissan 370Z will set you back a hair under $30,000 – $29,998, to be exact. Not only is that on par with U.S. pricing, but based on today’s exchange rate, the Canadian model actually works out to be cheaper.

The base 370Z coupe, now known as the Coupe Enthusiast Edition, comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels finished in black, HID headlights, automatic climate control, a cloth interior and Bluetooth connectivity.

Nissan’s 3.7-litre V6 is still under the hood, pumping out 332 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. A seven-speed automatic transmission is available, but buyers who prefer to row their own gears can opt for a six-speed manual with available rev-matching technology – just in case you mess up those perfectly-timed downshifts.

If you’re looking for more performance, Nissan is offering up the 2016 370Z NISMO for $47,998, while the open-top 370Z roadster starts at $49,498 for 2016.

For comparison’s sake, the Hyundai Genesis Coupe starts at $29,499, while the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ retail for $26,670 and $27,395, respectively.

Yea saw this posted somewhere a few days ago. Definitely a big move by them. Was always overpriced in my opinion, but now it's pretty much in line with a gencoupe and FRS/BRZ (in terms of pricing)

    I think it's been a problem for the Z for a while.

My question is, what has been de-contented (removed) to get the price down? Because if it's nearly the same as last year's model, current owners are going to be PISSED about the depreciation.

I'm curious too as nissan.ca only has the 2015 specs up.
Then again, I'm more of a 240Z fan

Price is comparable to the FRS/BRZ and Genesis, but I like how the aforementioned have 4 seats.

That's a crazy price for a 370. I sold my 350 last year, and as spring fever is hitting I sure miss it.

This is a new base model with cloth seats and missing a few other items. The article is correct in saying that Nissan is just trying to clear out the old before the redesign comes.

Not a bad move but if they were really serious, lower the price on the upper Tim levels as well.

This makes a big difference in affordability, it means the 370z goes back into contention for me. That's just slightly more than the Genesis Coupe (which recently went up in base price, although at least they did increase content). $40,000 was just crazy for a 370z.

It really is a game-changer. The Genesis Coupe and 370Z are both available with 300+ horsepower, RWD, and manual transmissions for under $30K...

    http://doubleclutch.ca/21176/nissan-...mance-bargain/

We actually have one coming soon to test; the one with the $30K price tag. I can't wait to see what it offers and how it "feels" compared to the Genesis Coupe; trying to line up a comparo the same week of the R-Spec.

Brampton auto mall Nissan has the new base model in silver I. Their storage bay beside the showroom. I sat in it today. Nice car for the price. Unfortunately I saw the Nismo 370Z in their showroom first so the base model was definitely missing a lot. The base at $30k is a bargain.

Not bad, although I really think it's time for an "all new" 370z.

I agree with this. Although an all new performance bargain would ultimately be the best.

To bad it was nice 6 sets of rims ago and 4 body colours.. its like the car that went to far and the only way to fix it was to cover it up with a whole new colour. So we all must not allow him to get anything new so he cant have his way with it and screw it up. :p
