Question Window Vent Visors 07 Sedan

    Hey guys.
Just wondered what everyone's experience with vent visors are? My A/C quit on my 07 sedan and I have no intention of fixing it as the car will be replaced in a year or so. Thought I would get some vent visors to get some fresh air in the car when its raining but don't want to get crappy ones. What brands do you guys use? Where did you get them? 3M tape or channel? Lets see what ya got. Thanks in advance.

There's basically two options you have:

    1) aftermarket ones. Fairly cheap (around $50-60), however they're a bit bulky and stick out from the windows a fair amount. This is all subjective of course; may not bother some people, may bother others. These can be purchased by a few of our sponsors on here; NextMod comes to mind as one of them.

    2) OEM ones. These are quite expensive. Can only be purchased from Mazda (something like $150 or so). It's a very sleek design, and the profile protrudes much less than the aftermarket replicas.

They are $115 list price from Mazda. Any sponsor dealer will give you a better price.

Yeah that's way more than I'm looking to spend. Suppose I'll be looking at some aftermarket ones closer to $50-60. Any good after market ones? Thanks for all the input so far guys, much appreciated.

Thanks for the correction. I knew there was a 1 and a 5 involved lol my mistake. Wonder if they were more expensive before and are just reduced now. Regardless, its about twice the price for OEM, so it really just depends on if you find that premium worth the lower profile of the visors.

Not a mistake, you just quoted the installed price.

These are Canadian part numbers. (they show no stock in the US) The US might of had a different manufacture making them so it might be a different number.

I could be mistaken but I think you could/can only get them in Canada. I remember reading about it on the American Mazda3 forums and everyone used to order it in from Canada. This is in regards to the OEM ones only of course.

I had my contact at Mazda Canada import these for us exclusively. I promised him that we would have no issues selling them and the rest is history. I think I have sold over 300+ sets both here and in the states.

On both the 07 GT Sedan and 10 GT Hatch I had, I bought the JDM style ones from NextMod. Worked perfectly fine and stayed on; didn't leak. They were the 3M tape ones.
Which reminds me, I should probably look at a set for the Mazda5.......

    hey @PKock,

The OEM door visors costs $115 (before TM3 discount of 20% off) and I can have it at my dealership the next day. Can't really go wrong when it's OEM so please let me know if you're interested!

Thanks but no thanks. That's literally about twice as much as I'm looking to pay and theres not a chance on something like a window visor that OEM is that much better. Appreciate your offer but no thanks.

what you're paying for is looks, which to some would be worth it. I've been on $20 ebay ones for about 3 years now. They work great, but they stick out so far and i don't care for how they look. I'm probably going to replace with the OEM's soon since they're more flush and look much more clean. Back when i bought them i was on a budget, so i just needed something functional.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I have had both the cheap one's and OEM one's on all of my 3's. Function go with the cheap set looks go OEM. Whatever your going for you do it.

I still have the OEM visors I picked up off you years ago @FLIPDADY. Look clean and no issues whatsoever...Definitely worth the money.
