If I do decide to do it next spring or whenever, I'll more than likely be messaging you for more tips. You've been warned

It's because nobody cares about my ride thread so I photo bomb others. Or well usually just this one... Because I can. I do believe that part of the reason they don't rust or hardly rust for that matter is because it vibrates too much lol.

But hey if keeping it clean and subs work I'll keep on doing it lol.
They say I'm an addict but I don't have a problem with alcohol or drugs. I'm an addict because I can't live without bass. Car audio is my addiction. And it will never change.

    I appreciate that lol.

3 years newer with over 50k more on it lol. But then again I don't neglect it usually. Especially the winter she needs to be cleaned when it warms up. And what are you saying. Your basshead in training aren't ya . And to be honest the underneath isnt doing too bad and if my plan goes the way it's looking I'll be parking the Mazda so I won't have to worry about any more winters.

Well technically now that @FD22 is a mod he could replace all the pics of your car in his thread with much funnier pics

Or alternatively, just balance it back out with some more pictures of this thing:

I really like the Enkei rims more than the XXRs now.

Also I think people rip on the colour of the dip because they have seen it when it was a more saturated orange. Looking at the colour as it is now, with the teal rims, the car still looks really nice.

I think the XXR's were just a totally different look. I think they looked amazing with 'that' setup.
I think Enkei suit this setup so well. More of a 'practical' (by Canadian standards) look. Aka not hella cambered with stretched tires and all, and being so low, where you create sparks just driving on the highway

    Man you are freaking brutal.

I rather like the subtle shifts and fades in the color now, was never one for in-your-face-loud coloring. That said, the rust is still a pressing issue.... would much rather see this car fixed and live than die a slow death.

The beefy wheel look has definitely grown on me as well, but I do still miss the concaveness of the XXR's

And you're definitely right about that. I think that's the main reason I hate on it too lol just knowing what it once was, and that this wasn't the intended color. People that hadn't seen it last year, always tell me it looks good and that this is just how they think it's supposed to look. But it's not so much the color itself, it's the fact that it's uneven around the car, with tons of oil and dirt stains that have permanently stained it due to an improper job (ie light, and very few, coats).

    But thanks man

    haha

Yea, although it wasn't thaaaat in-your-face before either. Well maybe a little

As would I man, as would I. But there comes a point where it's just not worth it anymore. And it sucks to realize that I think I'm at that point. We'll see how it is next Spring, after it's gone through one more winter. We'll see if at that point I want to tackle the rust repairs or not. Because it means figuring out other things too (ie the dip/exterior situation).

    LOL

Every member who donates $5 or more, gets a ghost decal on the car of their username! If only shops were willing to cut deals for redoing my car if I slapped on huge stickers of their shop name all over the car. Hell, I've never been a huge fan of that for normal DD's, but screw it, I'd totally be willing to do that now too! haha

Alternatively, on that note, could just sticker-bomb the entire car....hmmm..

    God dammit Michigan...

Wasn't done going into winter mode though...

    1. Rear wiper is still off. With it constantly snowing the entire day this far, it is quite clear that no matter how shitty the wiper itself is, a rear hatch wiper is quite useful
    2. My front lip(s) are still on. Since this was kind of sudden/unexpected, most residential streets and parking lots and such are obviously not plowed. Meaning I'm literally scooping up snow with the front of my car. #YourFriendlyNeighborhoodSnowPlow
    3. I don't have my winter brush with me. So cleaning the car off was quite a mission. I didn't let that make me drive without cleaning my car however, like a ton of other idiots on the roads.

It's not what my car does some real struggles today. Gotta get used to driving with mudflaps in heavy snow. Not only the sound of them constantly dragging on the snow, but they were causing the car to slightly veer to each side as they picked up chunks of snow off the road. Hoping this won't be a regular thing, as ideally roads would be somewhat plowed at least, or more driven on, but today was just an odd circumstance I think/hope. I gotta say though, so far I'm very happy with these Xi3's.
