It's for my GF and her friend who are making wooden jewlery out of walnut, zebra wood, mahogany & other nicer stuff.
We think its a JET JLW-1015 which was replaced by the JLW-1015VS. It was $100 Kijiji.
It has 3 adjustable rpm speeds, don't know which off the top of my head... & the tail stock is free pinned.
Because the lathe was cheap, they splurged on a nicer Chuck. Talon Chuck from Oneway (part #2985) which was $230.00.
I am hoping to get some time in on it because it's much nicer than what I briefly learned on years ago....Some shifty all in one Shop Smith lathe thing.
