What model is a Mazda 3 G

Notice in the papers that Mazda's current promotion lists a Mazda 3 G model.

The build tool shows there is a GX, GS and GT models.

Was curious what exactly is the G model and it's specs and features. Given the very low lease offer/rate this must be a really stripped down or featureless model.

Sounds like a model below the GX and possibly used by commercial fleets.

Any dealership reps on here care to comment?

It's a model below GX.. I believe it only comes with manual and it doesn't offer the nav. screen.. It's like the 2014 mazda 3 GX when it first came out..

No AC either. It's as bare bones as you can get.

If your looking into a car barebones look into the Hyundai Elantra L $11, 000 or something. Not sure if promotion is still going, check redflagdeals website best deal for your money if u dont need A/C

I can say you only can get a g in the sedan version. It is in fact bare bones but it's still nice.

I was thinking of leasing a G model as my winter car. It's really cheap and I wouldn't need A/C anyways. Only thing is...I'd like a hatchback for the dog. She gets so muddy at the dog park.

From what I read it does not have any steering wheel controls of any sort, no tach (a little annoying for a manual), assuming the 2014-2015 GX stereo and no a/c. Those are the big differences.

I doubt anyone will buy it.

It is meant to be used as a "starting at" marketing item.

They will sell in Quebec, not sure why.

In Ontario 99% of the cars sold have A/C.

I've ever only sold one Mazda2 with no a/c and one Mazda3 in my 6 years here. Both as winter cars.

As Jeff said, more of a marketing ploy for pricing.
