Who are you insured with currently? I'm 22-years old, and I'm currently with Belair Direct; for about $282-ish per month (I know, steep... in Nova Scotia, I paid significantly less.. damn Ontario).

I'm with Belair as well, 22 years old, and I'm paying $172/month.

Sort of. 3 of my friends all drive identical Sunfires so we just got one policy and fabbed up 2 extra sets of plates.

All the coverage for 1/4 the price. Nobody ever checks the VIN...

That's interesting considering that the Insurance Liability slip and insurance policy only shows the VIN and doesn't show the plate numbers.

Mazda 3 2006 GT sedan

I was hit about 2 months ago when I was parked. The woman backed into me, and actually hit my friend as he was getting into the car also. I took pictures etc and filed a claim with my insurance company. It was on an apartment complex property.

I told my insurance company all of this information and told them I had pictures, and witnesses etc they stated I would not be at fault. Im assuming my rates wont be affected by this?

I"m paying 381 and change a month with state farm...but that's because i've had a few issues with insurance 3 years back which kicked me into facility. but this june i'm out and should be back into the normal market and should see my rates drop.

i know Meloche Monex and a few other company's have rate plans for uni. grads, sort of an alum rate, so i'd check into that, i know i am.

As I posted before, I'm with Johnson's Insurance.
I noticed several other members are also with Johnson's so this might interest them.
I just got a letter for my yearly policy renewal. I'm now paying $35.04 /YEAR MORE than I did last year (so a total of $1,716.00 /year). No tickets/claims (yet anyway - I have one traffic infraction pending court process).
I asked my agent why the increase and she replied that it's a "general rate increase." So this should affect all policy holders with a Mazda3?

Im with Johnson's Insurance as well, but I haven't seen any increases only decreases... I renewed my policy the beginning of December, before that i was paying $380/month, after the renewal I was paying $330/month, and since I've turned 21 im now paying $185/ month.
I find Johnson's pretty good, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of my agent.

Well, my renewal is for April 2007 so you wouldn't be affected until your next renewal if this "general increase" was just recently applied.
My agent's name is Lina. This was my first contact with her and she replied to my email right away.

Last year with a 99 Sunfire with basic insurance. $707 a month and dropped to $505 a month. September last year on same Sunfire, went down to $200 a month due to my good behavior.

For the 07 Mazda 3 GT at 24 years old, $300 deductible (i think) $224 a month.
