Default RIP to My Blue Blazer

I got ticketed for \"Turn Not In Safety\" but cop says the other driver admitted to running a red light... (so why the bloody hell did I get charged?). Basically I am waiting to turn left. One car ahead of me. I am already in the intersection too. Light turns yellow. Oncoming traffic stops. Car ahead of me turns left. I proceed, ****, didn\'t see this speeding car dodge car ahead of me and now... oops too late... BAM... shock shock shock... I can\'t move... head hurts, neck hurts, back hurts, arms and legs feel numb... holy sh*t... have... to...call... Debby... she\'s waiting for me at Market Village... i hear voices, one man asking me if I\'m okay, I struggle to say yes... oops I lied... I call my work and try to get to my manager. I tell him what happened and he tells me not to worry about work. another voice... sir don\'t move, the ambulance is on its way... I hear running heels on the pavement, it\'s Debby... she\'s worried... she can\'t get my driver\'s door open. Fire fighter asks her to stand back. They yank open the door. They start asking me how I am, where am I hurting, etc. I told them my aches and my numbness. They check me out, life signs are okay... they tell me to stay seated and don\'t move.

I feel tired... eyes close... open... close... i just want to sleep...

Another fire fighter gets in the back and yanks off my head rest and supports my head/neck with his hands. Ambulance arrives and they question me and check me out. Eventually I am (by their suggestion) supported onto the stretcher with neck brace and questioned some more. I see many heads above me. They\'re taping my head down to the stretcher. I\'m tied down, can\'t move. Dang...

I\'m rolled to the ambulance and pushed inside. Questioned some more by paramedic and then we are moving... going to Scarborough Grace... rolling through the hallways... lights are bright... I don\'t like this feeling...

Eventually I\'m just left in the hallway... back of my head hurts... my lower back hurts. Paramedic asks for more info from me. Eventually a cop comes to question me. I tell him what happened. A bit of time later I\'m hauled to the X-Ray room for them to scan my neck and chest. I\'m a-okay.

I eventually come back out to the hallway, still on stretcher... back of head really aches now... my ankles ache cuz of my shoes weighing down my feet to the sides... lower back is still aching... I see my friend Karen there. Whoa, surprised to see her, but nice of her to leave work to come see me. Thanks

About 3.5 hours after the accident occured I\'m walking out of the emergency area. Dave and Art (Grifter) were there too, thanks guys, and sat down to eat a sandwich. I hadn\'t had lunch yet. It was like 5pm.

We go check out my car, the three of us guys. \"Holy ****\" was my reaction...

holy **** man...you are a really really lucky man to walk away from that with minor injuries or none at all. These kind of crashes usually kill people or seriously hurt them.

Don\'t worry about the car, just be happy you\'re alive and well. Get some rest and feel better.

    btw, who took those pictures?

Yeah man, talked to you tonight already, as much as I know how much you love the car, just take care of yourself first, and worry about the car later. The TM3 community\'s here for ya, it\'ll all work out.

Hey man, sorry to hear about what happened. Similar thing happened to me this summer, and it was rough for the first few days dealing with what happened, but you\'ll get through it. Be very thankful that you\'re not hurt though-- the car can be replaced. Wishing you well..

i\'m sorry to hear that ... but glad that you don\'t seem to be hurt seriously ...

regarding the \"Turn Not In Safety\" charge, once i heard a cop talking to a lady at a police station, he said in any accident involved a left-turing vehicle, the left-turner will get a ticket for sure (unless the he had a left-turn arrow when he turned, i guess) even the other driver admitted he ran a red light or whatever ...

anyway, rest and don\'t worry too much ... things will be okay

Warren, my condolences to your car, but like everyone else says, I\'m really glad to hear you\'re okay but take care of yourslef the next few days, worry about the car later.

you\'ll probably have to pop a few T3\'s (Tylenol 3\'s) over the next couple of days. Robaxacet will help really well too, you\'ll definitely feel worse over the next two/three days. Believe me, I know.

    Anyways, take care man

My condolences. At least you weren\'t injured. Take it easy - the car can and will be replaced.

I got into a minor accident (doing a U turn in a residenatial area, speeding car behind decides to pass me and hits my front left corner - new bumper, new rebar, new headlight, new fender...over $3500 in damage) in my 3 a couple of months back and I felt pretty down for some time after.

I was making a left turn (was in the intersection from when it turned green for me), the light turned yellow, a few cars went through. The light turned red, and I waited 3-4 seconds and a guy in a minvan looked like he was gonna stop. It was now green for traffic in the opposite direction, and the fact that he looked like he was slowing down, I went.. well he slamed right into me at 60kph. First thing after calling 911, I got out of the car, asked if the other guy was ok, then started flagging down witnesses. With 3 witnesses, he was charged for running a red. But yes, in 99% of cases the person making the left hand turn would be charged. If it weren\'t for the witnesses I wouldn\'t be getting another car!

Look up HTA 144 (18), and speak to X-copper or similar- they may be able to help wtom out.

Holy cow! I\'m glad to see that you\'re, somewhat, OK. It\'s also reassuring that the Mazda3 holds up well in frontal collisions too. Damn, that\'s at least two owners who have gotten into a major collision with their new Mazda3 (yourself and Profusion).

Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon!

Hey Warren, Glad that you\'re \'ok\'. Take it easy. Sorry about your ride. Get well and I\'m sure someone will be able to pick you up for the next meet, if you don\'t have your car back, or a new one at that point.

All things considered, I\'m glad to hear you\'re doing ok. Rest up for the next few days, get yourself feeling better and worry about the car when the time comes to it.

Hey, call Markham Mazda and tell them you\'re pissed with their treatment of you and you\'re trading the 3 for your old car straight up!

Warren, I hate to say this, but I think you\'ve been jinxed with this car since the beginning. I was just browsing through all of the forums and I noticed that you\'ve

    - had problems with the financing
    - had problems with the dealership wanting more money
    - the clicking noise with your clutch
    - now this

Hopefully this will change things for the better, in terms of your car. Think of it as an exorcism of evil spirits from your car. Isn\'t there an adage saying that bad things come in threes?

    Bad things come in \"threes\" < > Mazda3 --> coincidence? arc
