I was told this over a month ago. It takes this long for a kit to be sent from Richmond Hill to Newmarket? They told me the kits were at the Richmond Hill offices.

It sucks if you ask me
Of course it does and it is what it is but at least something is being done about it albeit later than sooner but... better than nothing
I am not leaving anything in the car anymore until this is fixed. Not even Burned CDS
Its nice they're actually acknowledging a design flaw, and IMO $100 isn't really even close enough to cover the backlash associated with it (lower resale value, etc), but even with the steel beam/plate installed, if they wanted your burnt CDs or whatever else is in your car, the beam isn't going to stop it.
I would think a full security system would be a bit more appropriate, but hey, corporation is going to do what they can get away with I suppose...
Has anyone also thought about this. If u have the "fix" and someone stupid has read the many threads about this problem on the net. u wanlk back to your car and there is a big dent in the door. maybe they didnt open it but there is still a dent in the door. who pays for that??
Well Mazda Wont? U Could Say that About Any Car Some Punk Can Just Kick the Side of Your Car For Fun. I Guess U Could Go to the insurance. Damages like That Happen All the Time. Ex. Grocery Cart hit the Car Happened To My Dads Car Twice..... Just Got To Move On
I'm actually surprised to hear that it affects more than just the 04 models... Now I'll have to take my 05 GT into the shop again... It's like I live there...
Still have not heard back from Mazda Canada and am starting to get totally fed up with this. It should not take two months to send a part to a Dealer
LOL. I am not that young and the people at Mazda never said that to me, they said in a week. GRRR lol
Maybe they need some new hires there![]()
Don't know if you guys have already received the letter from Mazda or not but here is a scanned copy sent to one of our bcmazda3.com members in Vancouver...

I'm really hoping it's $100 toward anything...Compustar would be sweet, even sweeter if part of it is on Mazda!

Interesting. Is there a Mazda shock sensor?
I wonder how much a Shock Sensor would cost?
Yeah there is but it's an add on unit.
EDIT: Actually I think it only comes with the remote start but I found this so there seems to be a part... (found here http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=74596.0 on page 6 )
Maybe Joe will know.
