Around 4, saw a copper sedan with rims, tints and raised spoiler going up Dixie only to turn left on Britannia. Didn't get a good look since I was waiting to turn left when I first saw it then passed it while it was waiting to turn left.

Actually, if you got hit from behind and you in turn hit someone in front of you, you will be at fault for the damage to the front of your car and the rear of the car you hit. This happened to my girlfriend not too long ago, chain reaction with about 7 cars, she was one of the cars near the front. Everybody in the chain except the guy at the very front, is partly at fault.

Makes sense. You hit the person in front of you for "following at an unsafe distance" but then again, you get hit from behind from a person for the same reason. Then again, if you stop JUST in time without hitting someone, but then get hit from behind and that in turn gets you to hit the person in front, not sure how they would do that...I guess you would have to prove it.

I think if you are stopped then you are not at fault if the person pushes you into the car infront.

So you are 100% not in fault for being in front...in any of their cases...but I guess for the people behind, it's more proving who was moving at the time of the accident...but this is why I'm not in insurance...all too confusing XD

Not if its at gridlock traffic... Thats what happened to me.... Bumper to bumper.... The 4th car behind us did not stop and boom boom boom .... so really if your in the middle what can you do....

Yeah, in gridlock, not much you can do...but the link a few posts ago, if everyone but the final person is stopped and that person caused everyone else to hit the person in front of them, then they are the only one at fault.

I think, even in gridlock, as long as you can safely come to a stop without hitting anyone, you aren't at fault. But if you hit the person in front of you, who came to a stop, without someone from behind making you hit them, then you are at fault.

Still sucks no matter where in the "line" you are if you get hit and your car gets damaged...

Approx 1:30am this morning DVP North-bound, Red Mazda3 hatch with black rims with red wheel stripes~possibly an MS3, stopped by Toronto's finest on the left hand shoulder...Didn't get much of a look as I went zipping by!.....Anyone here?
