    Default Gas..

Juss outta curiousity of where everyone fills up and what octane...

Do you find that you get better mileage from lets say, Petro-can VS. Sunoco??
or do you think it depends on the octane? or... is it too small of a difference to tell...??

I fill up regular at Petro Canada, just for the points!! But there was one time that Petro already increased their prices but Shell didn\'t so.......... I did the unthinkable, put another company\'s gas in!! It was only one tank!!! I figure if you are going to be buying so much gass go with something you can earn points for stuff.:p

I swear this topic was already drilled before? :p

    I go Sunoco only now;

    1. it\'s almost always the last station to raise its prices!
    2. majority vote for sunoco as the best gas to use, no matter 87 octane or 94 octane (if you\'re rich)
    3. i use to use their touchless/railless car washes during the winter

I still have the Shell easyPay tag on my keychain though... guess it\'s time to let it go.

I\'ve always gone to Petro, for the points as well. I\'m waiting for my damn Petro Visa to save my 2 cents. I\'ve never noticed a difference in fuel economy between companies. For me it\'s more about where I drive, city vs. highway, or how I drive, cruise vs. speedracer.

I use Esso most of the time mainly because I\'m collecting its points. I found Esso gives better mileage than Sunoco (octane 87) on my old ride. Never bother to test on the 3 now.
Sometimes I use others like Petro-Can, CanTire (=Esso) or Sunoco but never Shell, if there\'s no Esso around or its price is just too high. And once in a while I like to feed my 3 with a full tank of octane 91.

I\'ve always found the Petro near my house to have competitive pricing vs. the two Esso\'s nearby, plus the points are great (interchangeable with PC points for grocery shopping), plus I find I get the best mileage with them.

Shell exclusively, apart from a few times on road trips where I couldn\'t find a Shell and went to Sunoco.

I usually fill up at the Shell at Yonge/York Mills or Sheppard/Bayview.

I fill with Petro Can, mainly with point, and Shell for airmiles. both can exchange points to car wash, gas card. I don\'t find any difference between them.

I don\'t care for any other gas station other than Sunoco. I noticed Petro Canada are always the first to raise their prices... Astronomically!!
For example, tonight.. just cruising around in my nice car I noticed Petro stations are the highest at 88.9. Some as high as 90.1. Esso comes in 2nd with 85.4 or something like that... While Sunoco was offering fuel for 79.9!! 79.9!!!
I topped up even though I was just a bit below the half tank mark... I keep forgetting that tank is huge! Ultra94, 40.83lts for $37.25 or something like that... I usually fill it with 58-60lts... This summer is going to be hard on the wallet if these prices keep up.

Even though my 3 is leased, and it\'s my daily driver, it\'s always good to keep it maintained. So I only use Sunoco for it as well. 89 octane always. I always tend to find a Sunoco station anywhere I go. If not, the equivalent would be Pioneer. I don\'t know what the dealer put in the car but since that tank of gas it\'s always been Sunoco for it... and hopefully it\'ll stay like that...

...much more useful than those useless Petro Points. And they have better car washes too! I had better remember to cash in those Petro Points of mine, maybe I\'ll get a map of the GTA or something.

Did I mention that at NO FRILLS gas bar you get money coupons to use at Loblaws/Zehr/NO FRILLS grocery stores. Awesome!

I usally gas up then use the coupon at the store, which is next door. ITs at Carlaw and Gerrard.

LOL!!! Wow! YOu and I both! I used to my ShellEasy pay RELIGIOUSLY. Now its probably 75% of the time I fill up with Sunoco other times Shell.

I stay far away from Esso and Pioneer

    Hi everyone,

I find the Petro on Eglinton bet. Midland and Brimley to be cheap. Just filled up tonight at 78.5. I always find Esso to be expensive.

wow man..it doesnt matter what gas station you use.. Sunoca was rated as have the cleanest gas though. I stay away from esso becasue everytime i drive by them their always more expensive. i go for the cheapest gas, usually pionneer and get money back. 30cents on a full tank..occasionally ill treat my car to some 94 octane from sunoco just to clean up the injectors a little, but thats only if she treats me good with no CEL\'s or rattling. otherwise she gets 87octane. although i must say the last 5-6months, all my little problems have worked themselves out.

its my car\'s B-day on the 26th..it would be nice for you guys to say happy b-day...lol
