    Default Front headlight/Fog Options

    Looking for some input here,

I have 6000k HID's installed in my headlights, and i just added white led eyelids..

Now i'm wondering what to do with my fogs and my highbeams

The stock fogs on my GS don't match the eyelids or the HID's very well lol..

    What is my best option
    1. Yellow Bulb?
    2. Yellow tint? ( is tint on outside?)
    3. HID the fogs
    4. Super Bright White Halogens

Although the HID option would be nice, its kinda expensive.
I was also thinking to grab some yellow tint film off ebay and tint the fog lens myself, its probably the cheapest option.

And what options do i have for highbeams? Is it illegal to change the color of your high beams to something else?

I'll put up pics of the LED eyelids as soon as i get a wash lol

If your going with yellow tint, I'd suggest Lamin-X. Great stuff.

    Interesting, never saw that thread.
I have it on my halogen bulbs but mine are the square style (hatch).
I heard it shouldn't be much of a problem if your running stock (35w is it?) bulbs. If you toss in those 55W high output then the extra heat would do something like that.

mine are stock bulbs.. my 08.5 GS has the round fogs. I'm not too sure what the wattage is though..

does the film require removal of your fogs for instalation? i may just settle on this..

any recommendations for where to buy? I theres a few sellers on ebay 30 usd shipped for lamin-x

I believe if you poke some of the sponsors, they carry it.
Application is directly to the fog light, with it installed.

I ordered mine last year directly from the company but I'd suggest a more local source if possible.

Did you grab the fogs off ebay or were the fogs already installed on your GS? If you have the ebay fogs, I would recommend not using halogens since the lens on it might warp/fog up. They tend to be not the greatest quality. Or maybe its just my luck.

    Stock fogs should be 55w.

I got my lamin-x film from the website too, don't remember how much it came out to though.

What kind of costs are you lookin at with led fogs? Do you ahve any pics? Did you go white or yellow..

My car has stock Fogs Type A (round) 55w just confirmed in the manual.

I'm still stuck debating if i want a white look to go with my hids/led eyelids or to go yellow..

    That was quick thanks RJ3

    The yellow look nice!

Is there much of a difference between color temprature of halogen + lamin-x compared to LED?

i think leds will be a bit more intense, but not recommended to drive with only thes leds while driving at night... i only have this for show, and function as DRLs.... my HIDs are my night driving lights, in addition to my fogs.

    Thanks for the info RJ3,

I think i'm going to settle for the Lamin-X, I think from a cost perspective it's the cheapest option.. may not be as bright as the led, but it should do the job..

Now to track down a sponsor!

Except they do it for you, as opposed to you doing it yourself.

Alright, i ordered my lamin-x sheets directly from lamin-x.. pricing wasn;t too bad i think it only cost around 20usd.

    Now onto my High Beams/DRL

I bought Silverstars 9005, 4100k, but i have not yet installed them

I'm also looking at Luminics Yellows..

Debating what to do any opinions?

I'll have 6000k HID's in the low beams
Stock bulbs and lamin-x (yellow) on the fogs
    And the car is black...

Hi beam yellow.(nokya hyper yellow) The reason is there is no cap on the bulbs.(creates a refllection) At a distance the headlihjts will be a yellow lamp look to it!

And HID bulbs tend to die quickly when used in short bursts.
