Gotta pop out the center caps I believe. They clip in from inside.
Diesel tractor...
Pop them out from the back, ie rims off the car.
Use something in the same shape to put as much force evenly over the largest area possible, like a larger pipe....or larger socket on an extension.

hmmm, ill look and see what the garage has to offer. thanks for the tips
No need to use a pipe or anything. Pull the rims off the car and take a look at it from the inside. You'll see a wire on the inside of the centre cap that's circular in shape but its not a complete circle (two open ends just an inch or so apart). Take a flat head screwdriver and pull one end towards the centre of the cap and you should be able to pull the wire out. After that, you just push the cap with your finger from the inside out and out it comes.
Older rims (like mine) can corrode around the edges, this can make it difficult for that method. If thats the case, displacing the pressure over a larger area is less likely to break a cap....
Doh, I just reread your title, you want to take the mazda symbol off the centre cap and not the centre cap off the rim, disregard my previous post then. As far as I can tell, I don't think you can take the mazda symbol off I believe it is one piece with the cap, not quite sure, could be wrong.
After inspecting mine I'm pretty sure it's molded chrome plastic with silver painted around the emblem.

I have cut off the clips and the chrome logo just pops off. I've asked in the other thread and it is possible to pop them out without cutting. Probably takes some finesse and patience. I was planning on just cutting and re-glue.

How hard they are to remove probably depends on the wheel... I removed mine from my snowflakes by popping them out with my thumb.... no wires that I recall, just plastic catches around the edge.

OP is referring to the chrome logo on the mazda centre cap, not popping the centre cap out from the wheel...lol...
I cut the clips off the ones from the RX8's...the chrome part came off of those. Also I got other ones from Joe...those come off too.
Will...I'll try and take some pics tonight if I get a chance.
There are different kinds. I believe the ones that came on my MS3 had permanently attached ones while those I got with my winter wheels were removable. The removable ones have visible clips on the back. Not sure how easily they'd come off, but they're definitely separate bits of plastic.
The two different types I have both look identical from the front.
I wouldn't remove them from the wheel. It would should the rustyness hiding behind.

I'm under the impression that the OP is getting his rims powder coated, so he likely wants to remove the symbol to color match the center caps.
on my '05 the centre cap is in 2 pieces, the emblem and the cap itself.
the emblem was held by clips and there is a short centering pin on the emblem.
i was able to separate the two pieces by prying it apart and painting the centre cap.
just be careful not to break the clips otherwise you'd have to glue them back on.
I got it, a few popped out, but others had to be cut . ill just have to use some glue when i finish painting the caps. thanks for the tips boys
take the rim off of the car and pop out the center caps with the force of your hand. Or if you are really daring tri to take a pic and go between the lip of the rim and the side of the center cap to try and pry it up. Just be careful not to damage the rims
