    Default Installing Rear Flares

Hey Guys Im Picking up my rear Flares Today From SSG .... & I Was wondering if anyone has any info on how to install them.... is there a how to for the install ? Or is there any place that will install them for a fee, Can MOT or Mcguyver maybe take on this task? Any help would be apreciatted...

So Far to my knowledge drilling and 3m tape is necessary...But i dont feel confident doing this task alone?

Also I Have a Set of Bose Speakers from a Speed 3 ..& I Was Wondering if anyone can chime in a place to install those as well

    Thanks in Advance Guys

You can do them yourself...SUPER easy. As for the drilling, all you have to do is drill out the existing rivets, which takes like 5 sec per rivet.

Rear flares eh? Is anyone else hoping this is a kit that will deploy at the press of a button, James Bond style, to divert heat seeking missiles?

Never a bad choice getting Dan to install them. However, like others have mentioned, it is super easy. I have a set of OEM rear flares I still have to put on my hatch. However, the OEM ones do not come with missles unfortunately.

Still got mine (OEM) to install too...hope to get around to doing it this summer.

Anyone tried doing it without removing the bumper? Or it's not worth doing it that way?

I don't think its necessary to remove the rear bumper. When I put mine on I just used double-sided tape, and two screws in the wheel wells. At most you have to remove the wheel to get the drill in at the right angle.

I don't plan to remove my rear bumper, from the instructions, drill two holes in the wheel well and one hole in the bumper. I'll remove the rear wheels and have the car jacked up for easier access.

I was just responding to Xerox who indicated he thought it was necessary to remove the bumper.

The rear bumper is easy to remove. The instructions that come with the OEM flares go into way too much detail and unnecessary steps. The template that comes with the instructions are designed to be placed on the inside of the bumper. They line up with the rear reflector and bottom of the bumper and have cross hairs where to drill the holes.

I installed the OEM Rear Flares on my 2004 hatch this weekend. I didn't remove the bumper, instead I just removed the rear wheels so I can drill and have room to work. They look good...adds some muscle on the car.

    ^^^ Cant Agree more!

RedRaptor, can you post a side pic with the fender trim? I've seen it available for sale at the dealer and online, but have never actually seen it installed on a Mazda 3. So far from your pics, it looks madd sick
