When I was thinkin of doing a black/red theme to my car, I was thinkin of red emblems and also considered a black/white theme and thought of having them white lol...I'll prob end up settling with black on black
It's blured a little bit, but i did the same to my one, i have a black cutted logo on my white M3looks very nice, i will post some pics soon, have to do the polish before the winter...

+1 on the body colour emblems, looks awesome on darker cars.
I've seen this 'cutted logo' on a few cars now...I'm curious about it. is it literally what it sounds like? you cut part of your emblem off?

I think this is the best look so far. Much more subtle and clean looking as opposed to the red. But everyone has a personal preference I guess.
High gloss looks great too.
I actually painted them high gloss before I had done this.
Make sure you take your time and properly wet sand. Clear is the most important part in making the gloss last and stay protected.
I do a bunch of emblems for members in BCMazda3.
