Black emblems on carbon gray?

anybody have rear blacked out emblems on a carbon gray 3??

if so... pics. im debating blacking out my rears instead of red emblems.

Definitely don't do red. They will look bad. Go with something dark.

When I was thinkin of doing a black/red theme to my car, I was thinkin of red emblems and also considered a black/white theme and thought of having them white lol...I'll prob end up settling with black on black

It's blured a little bit, but i did the same to my one, i have a black cutted logo on my white M3 looks very nice, i will post some pics soon, have to do the polish before the winter...

I've seen this 'cutted logo' on a few cars now...I'm curious about it. is it literally what it sounds like? you cut part of your emblem off?

Yes it is thats how i did mine... I used a hacksaw blade for a clean cut

I think this is the best look so far. Much more subtle and clean looking as opposed to the red. But everyone has a personal preference I guess.

nice i was just at wal mart and in the paint isle had both this and gloss black paints in my hand... had i seend this earlier i would have gone with this...

High gloss looks great too.
I actually painted them high gloss before I had done this.

Make sure you take your time and properly wet sand. Clear is the most important part in making the gloss last and stay protected.

I do a bunch of emblems for members in BCMazda3.
