Your rear lights no it will not matter..but as for the lowered part who knows..they might not notice it..they might not care..or they just might delete you...
A lion would never cheat on his wife, but a Tiger Wood.
I'm with RBC and I asked them a while back about adding an SRI.
They told me that cosmetic mods are fine but if I added anything to my car that altered its performance they'd ask me to look elsewhere for insurance. I'm not sure if they were referring to straight HP increases, or if lowering could qualify as a performance increase due to the changes in handling characteristics. That might depend on how nice you are to them.![]()
my previous 3 was relatively modified lowered sway bars h braces tie bars strut bars intake and exhaust had a few claims never had any issues with it
1991 Nissan Pathfinder - trade in, 2005 Mazda 3 GX ty grey - Write off, 2010 Mazda 3 GT E sedan CWP- trade in, 2010 Speed 3 w/tech CWP - Up for sale (soon), 2007 Mazda 3 GS silver- motor swapped in to 2009 MS3 CWP that had blown engine, 2002 BMW 330ci silver- new winter ride, 2005 BMW M3- new toy
my question is why even bother informing the insurance about it? If someone steels my parts id rather lose 300$ for the sways rather then have insurance replace them and charge me an arm and a leg for insurance after my claim. Thats just an example
like i said my last car was modded and i had a few claims but they never said anything about the lowering or the mods. I dont see why it would make a difference anyways. In the end it all comes down to who you know at the body shop anyways lol. thats how i got my gt front end on my last 3![]()
I had my insurance canceled a few years ago cause my truck was lowered...i was with the same company for 4 years..i told them when i insured my truck with them that it was lowered but i guess the broke never bothered to right it down..so fast forward 4 year later i had my truck appreasied casue it was 7 years old and i had alot of money invested in the truck..which i owned since new and never drove it during winter..as soon as they seen my mods i got a registered letter in the mail saying that i had 15 days to find new insurance. I found a new company and the new broker told me that she is not going to say a word about any of the mods to the company...
dam that sucks imo insurance is a scam and a half

GONE: Apparently too many cars to list in the signature....
I am not telling insurance that my car is lowered but the claim adjuster is coming today to see the car while its parked at the train station ... Would he/she note it down that its lowered or lights are tinted and tell the insurance company?
would it change anything if I said that the accident wasn't my fault and that I dont have to pay deductable ... my premium isn't going up .. and that the other party had no insurance so they will be paying out of their pocket?
just wondering if that would make a difference to the insurance company of not caring if my car is lowered since they aren't paying for the damages?
lol ok sorry to confuse u .. heres the situation ..
someone hit me while i was parked ... the guy had no insurance .. and he had no valid licence ... i went to police .. did report ... insurance called me ... said that i dun have to pay anything and that the person is being charged ...
now im not sure how insurance works when im at "no fault" ... but they told me that since the other person does not have insurance they will be paying out of their pocket or something? im not sure ... i just agreed to what ever they said as long as i dun have to pay anything at all lol...
so now the adjuster is coming to see my car which is parked at the train station .. and im worried that since my car is lowered and the lights are tinted that the adjuster will note this and tell the insurance company and cancel my insurance ... which i hope doesnt happen ...
i already have a claim number which my insurance company gave me .. and im suppose to take my car to the local mazda dealership to make an appointment and get a new bumper installed and painted ...
I also talked to Uni-body and got a qoute ... and he helped me alot and gave me some really good advice .. and mentioned some insurance companies dun mind and some do .. so im just tryin to get some information from anyone who is with RBC or any advice from anyone to see if people have been thru this same situation and what has happend to them ...
thanks
Even if the other guy has no insurance it doesn't matter..your insurance company pays for your car..that person will have to pay out of his pocket for his OWN car and not yours.
Ayway what the insurance company don't know is not going to hurt them..so if you have a mild drop then don't say a word and they probaly wouldn't even notice
Goodluck
ya i dont think they will notice my drop as it is mild .. well to me anyway lol .. im more worried about the lights .. as they are extremely dark ... the rings are almost not visable ...
you have tinted lights ... have you had ANY problems with those at all?
thanks for your responses
