Then again, I'm old.... I was paying $100/month for my 04 GT Sport...

me to...paying $93 a month, 2 drivers, short drive to work. Newmarket area, 05 GT sedan,
500 deductibles 2,000,000 liability, no accidents, tickets the last 20 years, paid about $80/month last year, looked around couldn't find anything lower. Checked how much for a new 2010 Equinox, gave me $5 more a month, its the car thats causing high rates,

thats what i have heard, sadly I need to go get my insurance sorted this week and as i am 18 i dont c it being very good and im going to be living in Kenya by the time im 21 so no insurance drops for me at least here in Canada

I didn't drop by much for me when I turned 25, but my insurance was pretty low already at this point :p

Not neccessarily.. Lately all insurance have been going up ..

I used to pay 110 for my civic , last year it went up to 130 and this year it went up to 155 .. No accidents or tickets and yes i m turning 26 next month !!
Mazda 3 was at 155 last year , this year it went up to 170 (civic and mazda are under different insurance companies)

Between the insurance going up / Mazda 3 apparently being in the higher insurance bracket with TD MM / moving to downtown Toronto... I'm paying like $10 less a month compared to Z I used to have.

And they couldnt come close to the quote TD gave me.

So yeah, my insurance is pretty high just because I've never been insured before.
But it's ok, I think $325 is pretty amazing compared to the $400 pluses I got from other companies. lol.

I thought females had lower rates.
I was 21/M/G2 no previous insurance/driving record and living in mid-toronto region (around yonge/eglinton)
And got quoted $256 a month by belairdirect.
Then again the insurance hike could be the reason

I think... because I got the insurance before the hike... it's lower.
If I try to get one now... it will most liekly be higher.

I think those of you with high premiums has mostly to do with the car, I am planning on replacing my 05 Gt
with a new SUV. So I got quotes for a 2010 Equinox and 2011 Sorento, these vehicles are twice the price of my M3 yet the cost per month is only about $10 more with the same coverage, go figure. Its the car thats killing us. Mid 20's racers etc...we are paying for the excitement, ..lol
