Eye lids custom painted to match the body tone. Did it myself. Will explain later

EYELIDS FROM NEXTMOD!!!!! "AGAIN" FTW!!!!!

JUST installed them. they're night pictures, so i apologize for the poor quality. how they were painted:

1) sanded the eyelids
2) primer, sand, primer, sand, primer....
3) same method but used the custom aerosol paint (27A) to match the body colour
4) sprayed custom aerosol paint (mica sparkle stuff) to match the sparkles in the body paint
5) sprayed a crazy layer of clear coat
6) install

Eyelids look good. I just just picked up a set from Nextmod this weekend too but they still need to be painted. Can't decide if I want to try and find a spray can that matches my paint exactly (Graphite Mica) or if I want to just paint it the same color as my emblems (Dark metallic grey).

there's a place called: "napa paint." they're located in pickering/ajax. the one i went to actually referred me to that place instead.

getting them painted professionally costs roughly $200. in total, i spent $70 only. i have enough paint for 2 more eyelids if anyone drives a 'velocity red mazda.' doing it yourself is more fun. if you want to check out the eyelids, perhaps we could meet. let me know.

The eyelids are a nice subtle look. The first pic almost looks like a 3D render from the angle and shine.

Thanks man. I will take the picture of the flap tmr. Honestly though, it didn't impress me all too much. Also, I have only an inch of clearance from the ground now.
