welcome aboard!!! congrats on the new ride
2007 Mazda 3 GS Electric Blue
Mods: 20% tints around, 17"Tenzo Type M flat black, VG Sharkfin Antenna, Eibach Prokit, Eibach Camber Kit, Vibrant STB, Angel Eyes, Axela Badge, Mazdaspeed Catback Exhaust, blacked out emblems, Nextmod front GV lip, Nextmod Rear Flares., 8000K HID, Aftermarket Fogs, Koni Yellows, Carbon Creations Carbon Fiber Hood.
The only number I'm really worried about is 27K OTR for a 2010 White GS Sport with Auto + Comfort. I'm not even worried now that I've bought it.
I don't have my invoice in front of me, but the pricing was for
Invoice + 400
Freight
PDI
Wheel Locks
AC Tax,
I think they also charged me Five dollars for something random.
I also believe I have to pay 49+ at pick up for plates and licensing. I will have to double check my invoice when I get home.
I did get 500 back for the first time buyer. Any way I feel this was a good deal over all. As I mentioned I felt that 25K cash for this car would have been a good deal so 27K OTR financed was good as well.
In regards to the sales techniques.. what can I say.
I actually found it amusing since I was aware of what was going on. I refused to let them charge my Visa. Kindly told the gent that I was serious about the offer and he could in confidence present it to his manager and let me know. The only thing I knowingly took part of was hitting the Gong. Albeit I lightly tapped it...
I will say this though.. if you are not the type of person who enjoys it when people are trying to pitch you then you should be offended by this type of thing. These sales techniques are pretty offensive.
The moment you've given a deposit to someone they know have take away your power to get up and leave their store.
The moment you give someone your credit card you're subconsciously accepting the fact you're going to purchase this item.
The moment someone writes down the price on piece of paper in a listed manner that matches the real invoice, and says I want you to sign here That you agree to pay this price for this car so I can present this as your offer does a few things.
First off it has pre conditioned you sign a fake offer that will look exactly like the real invoice in a moment. This makes you more ready to sign the invoice and also less likely to review the actual invoice for changes.
Linguistically the sales person has told you that "You agree to pay this price for this car" and by signing it your brain has said "Yes I do"
Not to mention that we've signed our names thousand of times in our lives when we purchase things, by doing this before our purchase it just adds another layer in our subconscious that we're agreed to buy the car before we have.
I was also close to going and looking at Downsview. This site is great. So much knowledge and friendly people to back the knowledge!
+1
I couldn't agree with you more. Such a great site because it's amazing friendly members. Good to see Active sponsors offering great deals... not to mention the information about mod'n here is crazy. Very happy to have found this site before buying my car.
Welcome pforwell.
welcome to the board!![]()
Welcome....and it looks like you got a great deal !!!!
I just picked up my new baby. Oh wow I love driving this car. It's so much fun, so responsive.
Now I have to ask what are the first things I should do with it.
I have an appointment next Saturday to get the tints done at auto-links. I'm also thinking I should do a 3m coat.

hahah, yeah I Triptronic is probably not the same. What can I say , I do all city driving and just didn't feel like driving stick.
Any way these are Happy Times !!
Roll your seat back relax and I want you to look at the stars in the night sky.. oh wait you can't because you have no sunroof. Sorry you got a GT![]()
Just kidding with ya... besides you can always go after market on that.
Lol! Like my aftermarket sunroof. I would have preferred oem but I got it for free. Can't complain really.
I had a mint 92 integra 4dr that was done up and stick. I do miss it at times (wifey can't drive stick) but my racing days are long over.
Triptronic is kinda fun.
Glad you're enjoying your new ride. Don't get rims if you're not going to lower it!
Gonna keep an eye out for your car. I'm alwways driving around lakeshore royal York area!

Actually, I got a GX, not a GT, and I ain't sorry about it...walked in and got a great deal and paid cash. The smaller engine also means lower fuel costs and TCO over the life of the vehicle. As for the stars, I don't need a moonroof, which adds weight, lowers ceiling clearance and is prone to leaking....I will go *outside* with NO restrictions to my vision.
It's all good, thou...enjoy your new wheels!!!
Hey Sarujo, yeah I was kidding any way. You were the first person to message me and give me good advice pre buying my car. It is much appreciated.
Yeah I did take a long look at the GX as well. If I felt that I wanted to drive stick I would have taken it. I learned to drive stick 11 years ago in a 85 camery. The experience was a painful at the time. I remember that clutch being so sensitive and hard to use. Don't get me wrong I've since driven other cars and realize it's much better now. I just felt for my own I wasn't going to go with it.
Hey aubreyarenas, thanks for the tip. Right now I don't have any plan to lower the car, especially not before winter.Don't get rims if you're not going to lower it!
I have my tinting appointment next week. I also would like to maybe paint the calipers but haven't decided how / where do get this done, or know the cost.
So right now everything is all stock. What colour / year / model are you driving ?
BTW: post pics!!
