Are you a cell phone whore?

Just wondering how often you guys change your cell phones? I myself usually keep them for 2-3 years then switch, and I never buy the super flashy ones nor the very basic ones.....just something in the middle. I have so many friends that change phones a couple of times a year! Some of them change carriers too often.....by the time I\'ve memorized their number it\'s changed (won\'t have to worry about that one come March 2007).

phones every 2 years or so
sometimes a bit more often, i guess every year and a half or so

but
never carries, cause i have always wanted to keep my number (it is pretty easy)
maybe one day . . .

i use my cell to.. umm talk.. don\'t need anything flashy.. last one was panasonic tx-310 (TDMA) great for making calls.. no games.. no colour screens.. lightweight.. now i have the moto v635 - quad band (mad seeg) nice but the mp3 player on it sux.. cam is OK for a cell cam (1.23mpix) .. i\'m trying to get my hands on the k750i (cheap maybe one that\'s blocked in UK - anyone got hookups?) - flash it to w800

anyway.. i wait till i can do a HUP and then swap.. nothing too extravagant tho

I don\'t see the need for constantly updating my cell phone. The one I have does just fine. Although, lately no one has been calling. By lately I mean the last 10 years.

I use my cell for what\'s it meant to be - a phone not an accessory

However, due to having a TDMA phone for the last 5 years I finally upgraded to a GSM Motorola V551. IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢d still prefer not having a camera and video on that thing but since I needed a quad phone (I travel to Europe occasionally) it fitted the bill.
So, to answer your question Ã¢â‚¬â€œ no, IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢m not a cell whore

My cell phone comes with the added feature of be able to deliver some pretty severe blunt force trauma. Try that with your flip-flop cell phones.

Yes but the strap broke a year ago. I use a dolly now.

I switch phones every few months - the Motorola T720 is now my V3 - fitting that it is my third Motorola - first one was a stupid Startak. Nokia 6160 was great, as have been my two LG\'s.
The Siemens M46 was pure crap - mine died after 7 months of use.
Any comments on Bluetooth technology?

Bluetooth is a handy technology, especially when it comes to cellphones. I have a Logitech Bluetooth earpiece that I occassionally use in the car and I\'ve used it to transfered files to and from my cellphone, computer and cousin\'s cellphone in the past. Although file transfers do take a long time, depending on the size of the file; I think the technology is adequate for use with an earpiece.

I used to be a cell phone whore just before I got my car. Then after i got this car i stopped because all that money i can get parts for the car instead.

I\'ve purchased a Nexlink Bluespoon AX wireless headset (300 hours of standby time, danish design)just the other day - haven\'t had time to check it out or go through the install yet.
How would you rate the other comparable bluetooth units out there?
