I was at blue mountain thursday (the 6th) and caught the storm as we were driving back, there was quite a bit of snow, 1 of the runs was grassy, but they were making snow as well so it was ok.

Travelling to Whistler in Feb. Take my snowboard with me and pay extra for luggage or rent there? What would you guys do? I'm not sure if it will be just 1 or 2 days of boarding.

Yeah. I have a soft bag which should be fine for the travel. Westjet is ghey though and is changing their # of allowed baggage policy. So now I gotta pay for the extra bag! Stupid!

That sucks because AC used to I'mnot sure now allow one peice of checked luggage as "sporting equipment" and the other as a suit case with now extra charges.

When I pack my board in my soft bag I put towels inside it to protect the edges of my board because they toss it aroudn with regard what so ever.

Also I don't know if you've ever done mountain boarding but bring your own board, your comfortable with it and you know how it rides.

Yeah it might end up being around the same price to rent vs bringing my own and if it is I will probably bring my own stuff. Still have to figure out all of the details though. I was thinking about wrapping the board in towels as well. My bag has a little padding but not enough for their lack of respect at the airports.

I have been to Tremblant a few times before but that was a long time ago. I also consider Whistler and Blackcomb to be a step up from Tremblant lol. I would much rather be comfortable in my own stuff that's for sure.

So stoked and looking forward to this trip!

Just picked up a helmet and some new goggles.

Just leaving blue mountain. Meh. It was so so, alot of ice, they were making alot of snow an it was quite cold so that sucks for goggles. You would also go from powder to ice to powder. Nevertheless it's blue so it was a workout. Holy that place is big!

Nice. I grew up in the Falls. Went to HV and KB all the time. Great spots.

I tried for a bit, but for some reason after high school I'll admit, I lost balls for park. . Still ride twintips because I like the "freedom" but haven't set foot in a park that wasn't a "mini park" in a while lol.

Is Snow Valley worth going to? Or should I stick with Horseshoe?

Depends on how good you are. Absolute beginner than snow valley. Beg-Intermediate+ than Moonstone.

I'm an intermediate so I guess I'll stay away from Snow Valley. I'm getting a little tired of Moonstone though since I go there the most. Maybe it's time to hit Horseshoe more.
