You caught me phil, I was saving it for him, I just didn't want anyone to know. lol
I think I actually took those after the All You Can Eat Japanese AA Thursday meet. All I remember is it was definitely late lol. There was pretty much no one at FMP; even Diamond was empty lol!

Did it myself Wednesday night in my driveway, since it was only about -5C out, no wind and no snow. It was perfect. The zip-ties are there just to make sure my barometer stays snug and so that it doesn't move around.
Very excited, my first real mod, and did it myself (well a buddy helped, he held the flash lights and ripped out the bottom half of the airbox because I couldn't get it out, stupid pressure clips.
I know it's not as awesome as some of the "higher end" SRI's, but I'm loving the new sound. I will eventually upgrade it to something better or maybe a full CAI. But in the mean time I'm very happy with it and very excited. AND!!! NO CEL!!!!![]()
Nice buddy, looks good.
P.S buy some blue zip ties lol
Thanks!
Hahaha, yeah, they were the only ones that I could find that were long enough, and it was late and getting cold.
The whole install took about 3 hours, but that's because I didn't really know what I was doing, and had to follow an install for the Simota CF (mostly just the uninstall part).
And then I couldn't find any screws that were the right size or type to screw the MAF sensor down with, so I had to run out to Home Depot and try to find some lol, that took a good 45 minutes lol.
I forgot to mention, that is a Cosmo Racing SRI. It requires Machine Screws to attach the MAF Sensor, and the stock screws are plastic self-tapping screws.
So I bought 4 M4x16 Machine Screws and 4 M4x12 Pan Slotted Machine Screws (couldn't find any Machine Screws with a Philips Slot).
I only needed 2 machine screws, but I figured I'd buy a few extra just in case. Plus, the longer ones (the M4x16's) have to be tightened using a wrench, where as the slightly shorter ones (M4x12) are Pan Slotted.
Come spring I'm going to take it out and wash down my engine bay. I have some screws and bolts inside the bay that are rusted and need to be replaced. So I figure I'll try and set it up better then. I was just too excited and couldn't wait any longer for spring like weather to get this installed lol.
looks good! your ride is coming together nicely.
